Sweet Possession review

Ok so why I have been going through chemotherapy/radiation treatments and so forth I picked up one of my biggest things I love to do again and it is read. I have read well over three hundred books. I am a fast reader. I started out with Twilight books and ventured on to Erotic Romance books. But I don't just read anyone...my faves are Maya Banks, Shayla Black, Jaci Burton, Lora Leigh and Lorelei James. Maya Banks is hands down my favorite author. In her stories you can feel the emotions and you just become entrapped in them. My favorite of her series that she writes hands down is the KGI series, I highly recommend them as I was in tears reading The Darkest Hour, which is the first in the series. No Place to Run and Hidden Away will no disappoint. I feel in love with Garrett and Sarah in Hidden Away and am so looking forward to the next which is Whispers in the Dark coming Feb 2012, not sure if I can wait that long though :)

Another of Maya's series that I love is the Sweet series. I just got Sweet Possession yesterday which surprised me because it doesn't release until April 5th. But I was so excited, yep did a little dance when I got it. I was not sure how I was going to take Sweet Possession I was excited for its release, but I feel in love with Angelina and Micah from Sweet Surrender (Sweet series #4). One I think because Angelina just simply loved Micah for all that he was, she did not give up on him. However I dove into Sweet Possession and I simply flat out LOVED it! It is such a GREAT book. I love that Connor finally found someone and he is everything that I imagined him to be and more. I absolutely LOVED the girls in this book, I don’t think I have ever laughed so much. Still thinking about them leaves me in giggles. If you have not read any of the series the girls are so funny, but they are also strong women who go after what they want. This is by far my favorite of the series. Maya Banks did not disappoint at all, she exceeded by expectations. I can not wait to read Cole’s story next year and really hope she continues on with this series. There is one word to describe the book and it is AMAZING. For those who might be skeptical about reading the erotic romance I highly recommend reading these authors, yes they have "risque" parts in them, however these authors simply amaze me. I feel everything in their writing, I cry, I laugh and I get ticked and of course I get to where I do need a fan to cool me down. But the stories that they write are AMAZING! I was one of those skeptics about reading this genre, but fell in love with it with these authors. They always write incredible books and you are always looking forward to their new releases. I will write a review every time I read a new book.

Wow! Two posts in one month hard to believe. But things are going pretty good. The kids and I have been doing good on our own. We actually have a routeine down. They haven't asked too much about David, but Kaylee did break down yesterday and started crying and saying she missed her daddy. I had to remind her that he will be back at the end of May. We did get sick a couple of weeks ago and had like a 24 hour thing. Not really sure what it was but the kids threw up and I just got a very upset stomach. But I was glad to see it go out of our house. Now we all have colds. We had beautiful weather last week, but then it got cold again and my cold has been hanging around for about a week. I did take the kids to get their pictures taken. Kaylee will be 5 soon and it's just too hard to believe so here are some of her, and she looks so grown up:

I am going to throw a birthday party for Kaylee next Saturday on the 9th of April for the little girls in her class and her. We are doing a lalaloopsy theme. I need to get to work on the toothpicks that go in the cupcakes. I can't find anyone on ebay or etsy to make them, so I am hoping I can pull it off. I made her invitations and was told they were really cute. Have a good day!

New Year and already 3 months into it

Wow. Blogging is really not going to be a top priority I see. Well let me backtrack a little to my last post. The kids a had a great Christmas and we left Christmas Eve to go to Louisiana and see family and friends down there. While we were in David had some interviews and when we returned to Missouri; he got the call regarding a new Job. He took the job with Farmer's Insurance. February was a busy month for us. Getting David ready to leave for Louisiana and going to see the dentist just about wore me out. I did have my scan done and got great news that I am cancer free as of now. And I am hoping it stays that way. Kaylee had to have two crowns put on her teeth and they had to put her out for that. Skyler is going to have to have two crowns and two teeth filled as well. David left Feb 25th and the kids and I are still here until they finish school, then we will make the move down there. But in a nut shell that is our life in a few sentences.

The kids are so excited for Christmas they can't stand it. Yesterday I wrapped gifts that were from daddy and I and then a gift from each other. They have been going up to the tree looking at me and ask very nicely if they can "Open just one" up? And the answer each and every time is "No". They don't like that response, but I did tell them their patience will be worth it. I thought long and hard about what to get each kiddo and Skyler's was easy we got him two transformers and the DVD Mater's Tall Tales. Skyler has been wanting that DVD forever since they brought it out. I just know he is going to be super excited. As for Kaylee she is in utter LOVE with Justin Bieber. I have no clue how she found out about him but she adores him. Everytime he sings, she puts her hand over her heart. My Best Friend Michelle got her a Justin Bieber doll for Christmas and when she got it, she screamed like 14 year old girls do. Everyone had a good laugh. Well I started looking for other Justin Bieber stuff. I found a shirt, a watch *that I got at an amazing price at Kohls(regularly $20, on sale for $9 and I got 30% off of that)*, a dog tag necklace, a bracelet, a CD and I finally found her Justin Bieber PJ's that were another awesome price at Kohl's at just $7.00. Oh yeah and stickers to go in her stocking. I am super excited to see her open it up, she is going to be tickled pink. Kaylee got Skyler Handy Manny's workshop which he loves to build stuff so this is perfect. And Skyler got Kaylee a Jewel Sparkles Lalaloopsy. David suprised me and picked up another gift from mommy and daddy to each of the kiddos. He picked up Skyler Iron Man sets and Kaylee is getting the mini lalaloopsy's. She has been going crazy for those.

Kaylee *helped* me wrap gifts for my sister, my mom, my dad, Taylor and Zach and I think that was a mistake as when we dropped the presents off at my mom's today she started telling grandma what all the items were. She is my big mouth of the two. Skyler can keep a secret but Kaylee can't. She always says that she will not tell, but right after you tell her give her two minutes and she can't hold it in any longer. :)

Santa is bringing the rest of the gifts and from what he and I have discussed Skyler is getting Chugginton sets, Transformers, Stinky the truck and a few batman items that he wanted and of course some candy...what Christmas would not be complete without that vital piece of the puzzle. Now from what Santa told me he is bring Kaylee the Olivia platset, The Plum Pudding purple car, and lalaloopsy's and candy too.

Skyler's last day of school was yesterday. They had breakfast in his classroom complete with sausage and cinnamon rolls. Then they were to wear their sleeping clothes, bring a pillow and blanket and a stuffed animal. He brought his heart puppy. He got it for Valentine's day when he was two and still sleeps with that thing. It's one of Ty's items and thank goodness it can be washed. Then they had Happy Meals for lunch. They had a good time. On Monday they made Gingerbread houses. David went to help out and Kaylee got to tag along so she got to make them too.

Kaylee's last day was Monday and she had a Christmas party. Each kiddo was to bring a book and they play a game and then whatever book you wind up with you get to take home. Well when Kaylee opened hers she got a Toy Story book, she does not like Toy Story at all, David told me she said "I don't want this" and threw the book down. I just couldn't believe it. Lately she has been doing stuff like that and I am not pleased at all with those reactions from her. So I asked David if he corrected her, he said no. But she did apologize to everyone and to her teacher. I am not sure what her deal is lately but she and I had a talk and I told her she was lucky daddy was there with her, because I would of taken her out of her chair and in another room and spanked her bottom. (I realize for some that just talking to your kids or taking toys away, or time out or so forth works, but for mine it just doesn't and believe me I have tried everything, the only thing that works is a spanking)

Tired. So I had chemo yesterday and still tired from it. The last couple days the kids have been pretty challenging. We put up the tree and Christmas decorations and you would of thought that neither one had seen a Christmas decoration in their life. They were so wound up from seeing them put up. Skyler informed me that we need Christmas lights up outside, and I told him that would require me doing it and it wasn't going to happen this year. David refuses to anything guy-ish at all. He doesn't put anything together or anything manly at all. He can't fix anything or repair anything. Sometimes I feel like I married another girl. I can do all of this myself but yet he can't do any of it. But if I don't put up Christmas lights it doesn't get done.

My friend Michelle is coming in town on Friday. Just her and her daughter Emma. I am excited to see her. I haven't seen her since last summer in 2009. They are staying with us and should prove to be interesting since I am not sure where we are going to put Kaylee and Kaylee is fighting about letting Michelle and Emma sleep in her bedroom. Kaylee has a daybed and it has a trundle underneath. But she doesn't want Michelle or Emma to sleep in her room. So I know I am going to have a battle on my hands.

I also finished the book No Place to Run by Maya Banks. It's the 2nd in her KGI series and the series is simply amazing. Yep they are romance books, and get a bit racy. But the stories are just amazing. The first one is called The Darkest Hour. This one had me crying and just pulled at my heart strings. You could feel the desperation in the characters in her books. I highly recommend either one of these.

Can you say LaLaloopsy?

That is what is on top of Kaylee's Christmas List. She wants Lalaloopsy's, and she wants them all. She is getting the twin set that is at ToysRUs from Santa. They are the cutest rag dolls and have the most unique names. We saw them on the shelves at Target back in July and she went straight to them and got so excited. From what I have heard from the toy stores they are a very hot item, and if you see it on the shelf and you want it grab it because it won't be there again. And that is so true, all the shelves that I saw today are sold out. The one that she really likes is called Spot Splatter Splash and I can not find her anywhere. This is what she looks like:

This is the funniest truck I have ever seen. He says over 90 phrases and he burps and toots. Skyler busted up laughing when he pressed it's tummy and it tooted and said "Oh excuse me". Also on his list are Iron Man 2 figures and of course Transformers and a few Handy Manny items.

We are getting the kids Nintendo DS Lites for Christmas. This has been something Skyler has been asking for and this year Wal-Mart is having for $89 on Black Friday and we have some gifts cards to use, so we won't have to pay for it. They are also having a lot of games for $10, along with Target and ToysRUs. I am buying my nieces from her for $50, she doesn't use it and that is going to be Kaylee's and it's in extremely good condition. I have to say this year I have really watched the sale ads starting since October and the deals that I have gotten are so much better than what Black Friday is going to be. I am a bargain shopper and if there is a better deal I will find it.

I sold a whole bunch of jewelry that I don't wear at all to the pawn shop and wasn't expecting much, maybe $150 I got $435! So that bought Christmas to us. I just have a few stocking stuffers and a few things yet to get, but Christmas is taken care of. Kaylee is getting the Olivia 2-in-1 Real World Play set and family set, Blythe loves littlest pet shop the scooter one, Plum Puddings purple car from Strawberry shortcake, and the twin LaLaloopsy's and the other from Skyler. Skyler is getting Stinky the Garbage truck, an iron man trio set that has Iron Man, the bad guy and then the bad iron man in it along with War Machine, a Transformers double pack from ToysRUs, Handy Manny workshop and Handy Manny dump truck from Kaylee. They both are getting the DS Lites. They will get some coloring books an of course some things in their stockings but I have a feeling they are going to be super excited when they open up their presents.

We are also going into Louisiana the day after Christmas to see our family down there. We haven't been in for a Holiday down there since Kaylee was 7 months old. And David really wants to get back down there. He had wanted to go in for Christmas and I had some reservations about that. One I didn't want to have to pack Christmas gifts in the truck and try to squeeze two suitcases of luggage in the car (that was so not going to happen), two I like being at home in our house opening up presents, and three my grandpa is not doing that well and I just have a feeling that this maybe his last Christmas, I am hoping not but he isn't in that great of shape. I don't think I could of been able to live with myself if I had missed his last Christmas. Well it's late and I am off to bed. Have a good nite everyone! Talk to you soon.

Yep me keeping up with blogging is not going to be my thing I guess. I can honestly say life is busy and I would rather read then be on the computer. This year has went by soooooooo FAST! Thanksgiving is just a little over a week away. There are so many things to be thankful for.

Skyler got student of the month for October. We were very proud of him. Since last David's mom and dad came in for Halloween. We had a good visit with them. They enjoyed taking the kids trick or treating. Skyler and Kaylee got lots of candy and are still eatting on it.

I have gotten most of the Christmas shopping done just a few things left to get then it will be done. I have looked at some of the black friday ads and there are just a few things that I am going to get other than that not much. I can generally find good deals on things before then.

I can't believe here it is the middle of October and I haven't blogged at all. But I can honestly say life has been busy and when not busy I truly enjoy reading. So I am going to try to get better. Just bare with me.

Today we celebrated Zach turning ONE! He officially turned one on the 13th. He had such a fun time. I think he like the tissue paper in his bags better than the presents. He got cake EVERYWHERE! It was a lot of fun. He did enjoy his bath right after.

Tomorrow we go to Ashtyn's Birthday. The kids are excited.

The 14th marked my 31st Birthday. How is that possible? But I am fine with it, just really don't know where 31 years has come and gone.

I have started Christmas shopping and have found some pretty good deals. So far I have 3 of the 6 presents for Skyler. He doesn't want much. Just Iron Man toys, Transformers, and some games for his leapster.

I just can't believe that half the year is gone already! The kids and I went to my moms to eat and my grandparents were there and my sister and Zach stopped by for a bit. Kelley has made a decision about her life with Joe (zach's dad) and has decided to move out. Things have not been good with them for awhile and she finally had the courage to tell him. He told her "One day someone is going to piss in your corn flakes." Not really sure what that means and then he told her that one day "you are going to get what's coming to you". Since Kelley was pregnant he has just gotten kind of for lack of better word crazy. He needs help because he just does. He also informed her that Zach is going to stay with him half the time which is not right because Zach is just 8 months old and is with Kelley all the time. She does everything for him. She is the one who gets up in the middle of the night with him and goes on little to no sleep and goes to work. Joe is more worried about his animals that he has. Kelley had a horrible toothache which wound up being that she needed a root canal. He didn't offer to help her with Zach so she said that she was going to go stay at moms and he had no objection. He just doesn't help with him. He is a dad when he wants to be. So I am very upset with him about this. And we are going to find a lawyer to fight it. Someone who wants to be a parent when they want to be does not need to have their kid half time. I am just so upset because there is so much more to this story but I don't want to put too much out there.

The kids had a good time today. We didn't get to do smores with a real campfire because it was raining. And they didn't get to go swimming either.

On Wednesday I went to the premiere of Eclipse and I have to say I LOVED it! It was really good. I also went Friday with David and thought it was even better. It was pretty funny, which was different. My favorite line has to be from Jacob when he tells Edward "I am hotter than you." I about died laughing. But they did a good job with it staying close to the book. I just don't know how I am going to wait until November of next year to see the first part of Breaking Dawn.

I am working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday this week. So it is going to be a busy week for me. Also next Monday is David and my 7th Wedding anniversary. Seems like a lot longer than that though.

Remember Me

So I watched Remember Me tonight and I balled. This was such a good movie. One of the best I have seen in awhile. Robert Pattinson did an extremely good job in this. My sister and I were going to go see it in the theaters, but it went out before we could...so she and I are going to watch it on Sunday. I highly recommend watching this movie. Just be prepared with tissues.

Kelley and I are taking the kids swimming on Sunday, so that should be interesting. However, Kaylee may not be going. She has had a bad problem with keeping her hands off stuff in the bathroom the last week. The other night I was reading in the living room and she got out of bed and said she had to go pee. The next thing I know I hear water splashing and I go in there she is pouring water out of the toilet on to her head, so she got in trouble for that. Then the next day she put my lipstick all over her face and broke it. Yesterday she took a whole roll of toilet paper and put it in the toilet and today well she took the shampoo and put it in her and Skyler's hair. I don't know what to do to get her to listen to stay out of the bathroom and keep her hands off stuff. It's very frustrating.

So today was Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. David had to work and then he called right after he got off work and was not to happy that I was making breakfast for dinner. Sorry but we don't have a ton of food in the house so you are just going to have to deal. Then I guess with it being Father's Day he decided that he was going to be a butt. I can't even watch any of my shows. Not a happy camper right now.

On a lighter note. My parents took my grandpa and grandma to see my grandpa's sister. She is not doing too good. She is dying, so they took them to see her one last time and say goodbye. I know this has to be hard for my grandpa. I talked to my dad tonight and he said it was hard to see her like that. She has always been a spunky woman, but she was just not that way today from what he said.

Only 10 more days to go till Eclipse and I am so ready. I found another clip and thought that I would share it and my favorite part is when Jacob asks "Hold up what damn army". Love it!

Well I have to say that I have done a pretty good job with keeping up with blogging so far this week. I am going to try to blog at least once a week. I have to say that I am completely exhausted! I just can't get my body to go to sleep at 10 to be up by 5:30. Thank goodness for this week tomorrow is it at getting up at 5:30 in the morning.

So last night I caught up on this show:

I LOVE The Vampire Diaries. I will watch it through the summer and have to say already I can't wait till next season. I don't watch a ton of shows, but on Sunday's I was Drop Dead Diva and Army Wives. I have been hooked on Army Wives since it first began. Then Monday's are One Tree Hill and right now since it's off I am watching the Bachleorette. She let my pick go Jesse from Missouri. But I think it will be between Roberto and Kirk. On Tuesday's during the fall and spring I watch 90210. Nothing on Wednesday's. On Thursday's The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. On Friday's it's Smallville and nothing on Saturday. I DVR everything so I may not watch it that day but I do watch it.

The kids are staying at my parents tonight and they are suppose to go on the slip-n-slide. So I had to make sure that I packed their swimsuits, which I was reminded over and over. I had t laugh the other night I asked Skyler how his hair grew so fast and he replied "I'm not sure...but I sure am handsome." Yep! Food spit out of my mouth and I about choked. I didn't not expect him to reply like that.

Toy Story 3

I have been thinking about taking Skyler and Kaylee to see Toy Story 3. The only draw back is it is in 3D. I really don't want to pay the extra $3 per ticket which is close to $10 with three of us going. I hope they have it playing at the theaters without the 3D.

I am so exhausted. I am use to going to bed after 1 am anymore and when I went to work today I had to be there at 6:15 am. So I just couldn't sleep last night I tossed and turned and finally conked out at about 1:30. So right now I am going on fumes. It's ok, just not what we talked about. They are wanting me to be an opener. And I had told them that I didn't want that responsiblity just to work and go home. I was suppose to work 10:15 to 1:15 during the day or 4:00 to 8:00 at night, and right now it looks like it will be 6:15 to 1:15. So we will see what happens. Also the manager told me to work today and tomorrow 6:15 to 10:15 and then after David brought the kids to be dropped off at 10:15 the girl I was working with said you are scheduled till 1:15, one of the other managers were there and said that I probably didn't get told the schedule had changed. No I hadn't. So I left, I can't afford a babysitter and David had a test he had to take. So right now work is not starting off on the right foot.

My sister is doing better the swelling is going down. She finally got home around 6 last night. But her dentist can not work on her mouth until the swelling is more down. Her face doesn't look to great, but hopefully in a couple days she will feel better.

I saw a preview for Ecllipse and I am going to post it later today. It was really good. Man I am so excited about this movie. Only 13 more days to go.

Also saw a coupon for $8.00 for Remember Me. I will have to post the link. I am going to rent it at Red Box first to see if I like it and if I do I will use the coupon to get it. Not to bad. I think they are normally $15 when a DVD is new so with $8.00 off it should be $7.00 plus tax. Not a bad deal.

SMG graphics is amazing they make custom blogs for you for free. You can click my rose to the side to be taken to their board. Cara made mine and I am completely blown away. She did an AMAZING job!

Well Monday was not the greatest day for me. Alot of things happened personally in my life and I am still adjusting to the outcome that I made from them. It maynot be easy but I am going to try to do what I feel is right.

My sister is in the ER today. She needs a root canal and has tried calling around all over the place for almost a week now. No one can get her in until late in the month or next month. I don't understand if it's an emergency why can't they cancel cleaning appointments and get someone in who needs to be seen right away. So the hospital is going to give her antibiotics to help get her swelling down. One of the dentist was going to try to work on her mouth, but her face is so swollen he sent her to the ER so they could help get down the swelling. Then the dentist is going to work on her root canal. She was still waiting in the ER the last time I texted her about an hour ago.

I read Fallen over the last two days and absolutely LOVED it. I can not wait for the sequel to it to come out in September. The book is by Lauren Kate. So now I am starting back at Twilight again, because all the books I want to read are on order at the library right now. However I think I am going to read Water for Elephants which is another movie that Robert Pattinson is filming with Reece Witherspoon. I know that it's about a young gentleman (Pattinson) who drops out of med school right before graduation having learned his father has passed away and he joins a circus to help with the animals. He was going to school to be a vet. Sounds kind of interesting.

Also I have really gotten into The Vampire Diaries. I read the books but didn't like them as well as I do the TV series. I only caught the last half of the year so I am catching up this summer on it.

Ok so yes I am BAD about keeping up with this...but I am going to try to get better. Chemo and Radiation hit me pretty hard. And yes I am finished with them for now. I did have my scan and it showed that I am still going to have to go through chemo. It got quite a bit of it just not all. So I will be starting that up again in a couple months. Thank you to those who have kept me in their prayers.

So during the course while I was on chemo I took up reading again. I use to read all the time in high school and when I first started college. I started the Twilight series and have fell in LOVE. I know understand what everyone was talking about. When I first saw Twilight I was not impressed to say the least. But after reading the books I understand the movie now. I am very excited about Eclipse coming out at the end of the month. Kelley and I have bought our tickets and Taylor is going with us. I couldn't get her to see it at midnight so we are going to the 1:30 show.

I have read even more books. I usually go through about 4-5 a week. I enjoyed The House of Night series. I just read the book Need and Captivate they remind me of some books that I have read...but I did enjoy them. I also read Hush, Hush which I really enjoyed. Also the books The Summer I Turned Pretty...this book had me laughing and just remembering when I was younger. It was a feel good book. There are three books in that series and the third one is due out this fall. Perfect Chemistry was a good book as well there is another in the series that I am waiting on the to get to read.

I also have a very special someone in my life. I have talked about him before. My sweet nephew. He just turned 8 months today and I couldn't imagine life without him. Zach is truly a happy baby. He got his two bottom teeth in a couple weeks ago. His smile could just brighten up a room. He also is in love with his big sister Taylor. He gets so excited to see her. Wow! Can not believe the new year is here. 2009 went by way too quick. I am going to attempt to do Project 365, but can not make any promises. I will start tomorrow by putting my first picture up.

On another note, chemo is wearing me out! My treatment was this past Monday and it drained me. I was not feeling like myself till last nite. I hate it to a "T". This is what I have written about it.

Chemo there is only one word to describe it: PAINFUL. It's painful to throw up over and over till your whole body hurts, it's painful to have nose bleeds/cough up blood till your nose is sore or your throat is so raw you can hardly stand to mutter two words. It's painful to have that IV put in when the nurses miss it a couple times and you bruise easlily and have bruises up and down your arms from it. It's painful to be sitting there and all of a sudden you know what going to happen 30-45 minutes after you start getting it. It's painful to know that for several days you can not play with your kids and only to see their disappointed faces. It's painful to see what it does to your family and your life. To know that your kids see and hear you throw up; and it scares them and they cry. It's painful to see the fear in their eyes when my nose bleeds. And most of all it's painful to have the feelings and to think you would much rather life to end then to have to do this over and over. These are the feelings I battle every day. I recieved my 2nd treatment and am so wiped out, I have NO energy for anything. All I want to do is just sit and cry. I am tired of this taking over my life. And that's the painful part it's MY LIFE. Life that no one should have to endure. A life that you sit and think what did I do wrong? Why do I have to go through this? I am fed up and am so sick of BEING SICK!

You know I really hate what this is doing to my kids. Every day Kaylee asks "Do you have to go to the hospital?" And she has that worried look on her face. She does not want me out of her sight. And then when I am sick they ask "why are you sick again mommy?" This just tears me up inside because I know that they are trying to understand but just can't. This is just tearing me apart. My whole reason for being here is for them. They are what make me get up every day. If I didn't have them, I might just stop fighting. No one should ever have to endure this! This is just horrible.

As I was sitting there today I though of the phrase God will never give you soemthing you can not handle. There is a reason why I am going through this. He has a bigger plan for me. But one thing is for sure I am going to fight and fight like crazy because I am bound and determined to see my kids grow up. Their smiles, hugs and love is what makes this worth the fight.

I hope each and everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did. The in-laws and us went to my parents for Thanksgiving. My cousin and her family were there, my grandparents, my sister and her family and my parents were all there. There was TONS of food and we all had a great time! We all sat around after eating looking at the Black Friday ads. We picked out what we were after and had fun talking about it. David and his dad left to go watch a movie and then around 4pm his mom, the kids and I all left to come back home. We also got our tree up. It's not decorated, but it is up.

David and I decided that we were going to get up for some items. Since our printer/scanner has hit the dust we got the HP printer from Wal-Mart for $25. It came with both inks so it basically paid for itself. David also picked up both kiddos coats at Wal-Mart for $15 regularly $35, so both were less than one by itself. They needed them bad. Skyler was still wearing his one from last year and you could tell it was too small, and Kaylee has been wearing her light jacket, cause hers was way to small from last year. Then later on during the day I picked up the color wonder pads that Wal-Mart had for $5 each, one for Skyler and one for Kaylee. Then at Target I got the Memorex DVD player for $20, so the kids can watch their own movies/shows when we would like to watch something. I also got a toy for Skyler for mom at Target. My camera has been about ready to roll over and die for awhile so David got me the Nikon camera that they had on sale for $88. Which I very much appreciated, I just have to figure this one out. I also got a few odds and ends at Target and Wal-Mart. I already had the majority of the toys bought before I found out about my cancer, but this kind of put a halt to the additional stuff that I would of like to have gotten them. All in all it was a pretty good day.

The in-laws left once we got back. It was sad to see them go, however, it is nice to have my house back again. I am gearing up for next week. Kaylee is off to see the dr Monday about her head. She has seemed like she is just very agitated all the time since it happened, just not herself. Then Wednesday is chemo day. I am not really looking forward to it at all. I will just take it one day at a time though.

Besides being extrememly sore, things are going ok. Just a little bruised from the surgery. I have been getting on the internet, and it does escape from things, but then I have a sering pain and come back to reality. I know I have been pushing myself too hard, because David does not want to seem to pick up any slack at all. And it gets sooooo frustrating. I am not suppose to be picking up anything, but yet I am because he always finds an excuse about everything. I thought this time around would be different, but it's not. He had three days off Sunday through Tuesday and did not do any cleaning, his parents just got in today and he has known and the only room that he cleaned up was ours. This is just so frustrating. Once again after surgery I had to finish what was done. I am so sore from it all.

His parents are in until Friday (I think) and his dad, David and Kaylee all went to Wal-Mart to get groceries, some reason Subway did not deposit anyones checks and said they will be there Monday, So I literally had no money for groceries this weekend. Anyways they all went and David said Pepsi had a display set up with just a few 24 packs of pepsi in the front and then a ton of Diet Pepsi behind that. He grabbed a pack of Pepsi, and his dad was crossing it off the list when all of a sudden they heard Kaylee crying. Kaylee was in the cart in the front and she had 4-5 cases of pepsi piled on top of her. David said all of a sudden 10 managers/employees came running over. She has a HUGE goose egg on her head, and David said he held her for awhile and once he let her get down she didn't quite have her balance and she had wanted to go to sleep right after it happened. Wal-mart said that they would pay for the ER visit and everything. So we took her and they said to watch her for the next several days. Wal-Mart said that Pepsi was liable since they build the displays, however my questions is this, if it is in your store don't you have a liablity to your customers to make sure items in your store are safe? I think they are both liable. How hard is it to have an employee check items. I am just really frustrated and my heart just sank when David told me. I just hope that she is ok, because we sure can not take any more bad news right now.

Man I just can not seem to keep up with the blog like I use to. Work and Facebook def get in my way of keeping it up. For those who don't know I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and will be having surgery on Thursday to remove it, the surgery was originally Wednesday but it got pushed back, and then the 3rd of Dec I will be starting chemo. I am very scared this time go around but I am planning on keeping a positive outlook. My last day of work is tonight. Not really sad, I like the people I work with just don't like the aspects of the jobs and the nite hours. The kids are very happy that I am not going to be working. When I told them that today was my last day working they were very happy. With the chemo I am going to have 6-8 cycles of treatment and it will be aggressive. I know I will lose my hair but my mom and sister are going to help me shave it before the chemo can take it. My biggest worry is the kids. I just don't want them to be afraid or sad. Also money is a big concern. Since I will not be working I am super stressed about how we will make bills. But I know and hope we will find a way.

My in laws are coming in for Thanksgiving. They are coming up this Sunday and will leave the following Sunday. This is the first time that they will stay and entire week. Normally they come up the day before Thanksgiving and leave that Sunday. I hope they will put up the tree with the kids and I am hoping to get my father in law to hang the lights, because I know David won't do it. We have chosen not to tell them so that they can enjoy their visit. We are going to tell them before they leave. The kids are excited for them to come in. We only get to see them twice a year.

But I hope to be back within a week to keep you updated about how the surgery went and how I am feeling.

Sprock Family Reunion 2009

Well it was the very first time that we have ever had a family reunion on my mom's side. My aunt and cousin live here along with my grandparents so we see each other quite often. My grandpa and and his two brothers and sister and their families all got together. Each brought a food dish and enjoyed the time together. There were 4 generations there and all of the kiddos had so much fun together. My mom's cousin Janet has two kids that are Kaylee's age and a little baby named Clayton, my mom's cousin Danny had three of his kiddos there, then you have my aunt who's daughter had her kids and then my mom had us there as well as our kiddos. It is amazing to me how kids can just make friends and that is it. We adults don't make friends that easy. We all had a great time and hopefully we will have another one next year!

Kaylee woke up last nite at 3 am and was throwing up and then she seemed fine all day and then tonight she was throwing up again and seemed fine right after. I am not sure what is wrong with her, but she isn't running a fever. I told her that she wouldn't be able to go to preshool tomorrow and she started crying. But I am not sure if she is infected with anything and don't want the other kiddos getting sick in her class.

The past couple weeks we have been tossing around the idea of moving and hopefully we will. We are talking more about it and kind of want a fresh start. Just something different, but we will see.

Skyler had a great Birthday. He got 10 transformers and none were the same. He has been playing with them since. Monday we went down to the lake again and I finally got some clothes for the kids. It has been pretty cool here. Since July we haven't been able to take the kids swimming or anything. This summer has just been really weird. Skyler and Kaylee started preschool at the end of August and both love it. I think Kaylee would love to go all day if she could and every day.

Kelley is having Zachary exactly 4 weeks from today which is my birthday and it's just kind of a weird feeling. IT will be exciting. Just seems like he should be coming so soon. Kelley has had a pretty easy pregnancy.

Geez! I am horrible at keeping this thing up. I use to be really good. Life and work gets in the way majorly! Skyler turns 5 Monday and we are celebrating today. He is so excited. We are doing his theme in Transformers. He absolutely loves Bumblebee. He, how do I put it nicely, bugged me until he got his bumblebee transformer about 2 weeks ago. It was suppose to be one of his Birthday presents, but he got it a little early. I also have Optimus Prime for him, as well as Frank from Disney cars from Kaylee. David had gotten him a transformers backpack and he already got that. So his Birthday present from us won't seem to big. My sister got him the police car and my mom got him a big Bumblebee and another transformer. I think, in fact I know, I am already transformered out!!!

Since my last post both kiddos have started preschool. Kaylee absolutely LOVES it! I literally on some days have to drag her out kicking and screaming. She has a little girl that she plays with reguraly as well as a little boy. It is pretty cute. Skyler likes school this year. And his one friend from last year is in his class again. Her name is Skylar. How funny is that?!?! We are taking cupcakes to preschool for his Birthday on Monday and of course they are transformer themed!

Can you believe that this year is almost over with? Only a little less than 4 months left! Geez where does the time go? I have already made Christmas Lists with the kids, well with Kaylee. Skyler has only said that he wants one thing so far. Kaylee loves Kai-lan and I love the fact that they have playsets now, so she will be getting those for Christmas as well as the new Strawberry Shortcake playsets. Kaylee is getting pretty girly as time goes by. Skyler wants Handy Manny with the motorcycle and that is all that he has said so far.

Kelley only has a little over a month left until Zachary is here. I am so excited, she is having him on my Birthday the 14th of October. What a birthday gift huh? We had her shower at the end of August and had a good time. She got some cute stuff. This little guy is going to be spoiled I can already tell. I am going to *try* to keep this thing updated better.

Geez! I can not belive that it has been over a month since I made a post. Facebook is taking over and to be more precise is Farm Town and I am so addicted to that game. But real life has gotten in the way too. School will be starting on the 18th for Kaylee and the 19th for Skyler. Kaylee is really excited, she has a Kai-Lan back pack. We are getting ready for Kelley's baby shower. It has crept up sooner than I had hoped. She is having a boy and naming him Zachary Tyler. Skyler is going to be 5 in less than a month and a half and I will be busy getting ready for that. Things are just CRAZY. He wants to do Transformers for his Birthday and I can not find any around here. They are sold out every where. He was Bumble Bee, Optimus Prime and Megatron for his Birthday. The ones that will change into the transformers and then into cars. This should be lots of fun.

Michelle, Chuck and Emma came to see us. It is the first time I have seen Emma since she was born. She is such a stinker and it was nice to see them. Short though but nice. David, Skyler, Kaylee and I all went to St. Louis to the zoo this past Friday. We stayed the night Thursday at a hotel and then went to the zoo, we had a pretty good time.

I am busy with work and it seems like it does not quit at all. I will post pics soon and try to post at least once a week.

Spray Park Day

Well I am taking the kids to the spray park today or the pool for little kiddos today. They are so excited. I want to head to Stephen's Lake to get some cute photos of them before the parks. I am *hoping* Kelley will help me out a little bit. And I would like to get some of Taylor with the kids and quiet possibly Kelley with Taylor with her little preggo belly. Ha! She might hurt me if I take one.

So I will be back later to post pics and tell you how our adventure turned out. Also I am going to be updating my NEW photography blog. I am going to try to get to that one day a week. I am not a professional, but I do get some pics that I am proud of....so why not show them off.

Spray Parks?

So about 2 years ago David, Skyler, Kaylee and I went to Oklahoma City to visit Michelle and Chuck-before Emma, and they had Spray Parks. That is where water comes out of the ground from various objects and so forth, it's free and the kids got to play in it. I have been searching for some here near us and FINALLY!!! There are two spray parks in Columbia and one swimming pool that is designed for kids and the best part about the swimming pool is it is only $2.25 for the kids to get in. So this coming Saturday I am going to be taking the kids to either one of the spray parks or the swimming park. It should be a lot of fun. The pictures I have seen do not compare to the ones in Oklahoma City, but at least they are free. We did buy the kids a swimming pool and mom and dad got one too, but I think they would enjoy these a little bit more. Also the one that has the swimming pool, they are doing a beach on it and I am so excited it will be the kids "first" beach experience. They open that up next year...so it will have to be another year wait on that.

Tomorrow is Father's Day and David has to work, I am going with mom and dad and the kiddos to eat at Golden Corral. My parents always like to get there right when it opens, so that means I will be up by 6:30 and down at their house by 7 to make it to Golden Corral by 7:30. Geez! We go through this every Mother's Day, for mom's Birthday and for Father's Day. So to all those dad's out their Happy Father's Day!

Tomorrow I am taking the kids to see Great Grandma Gerry and paw paw Frank and then we will go to the park before or after, not sure yet. And as for Monday I am not sure what we are going to do.

Last night I was so irritated at David. I worked, yeah it was only for 5 hours but this job just wears you out. When I got home, well lets just say I thought I would be able to relax and watch the shows that had taped. WRONG!! David was watching some kids, 3 girls ages 5, 3 and 1 all girls, and I wouldn't have minded so much but they were here till 8pm and they had gone in Kaylee's room and completely tore up her room and Kaylee's favorite doll is missing one of her legs!! David would not pick any of it up, so about 30 minutes I had the joy of cleaning up Kaylee's room and I still have not found the doll leg yet! And I had not eatten anything all day and I had brought my sandwhich home from work, well it was cold by the time I ate it. He didn't understand why I was so irritated. And not to mention these girls behaved worse than Skyler and Kaylee. Now there is a difference in the way mom's correct kids and dad's. Well David is a push over and they wouldn't listen to him and I had heard enough of the yelling and pushing and hitting each other. So I went in there and in my stern "mom tone" told them to stop and sit down or we were going in time out. Needless to say they were pretty quiet and behaved till they went home. David told me, I don't know how you got them to listen. All I did was look at him and said "authority, David, you have to be the adult." Also not to mention I did not find out he was watching them till after I got home. Man I probably sound horrible, huh!

My kids listen to me and they know when to not push my buttons, I am a pretty easy going mom but I also correct kids when needed. David is a push over and lets anyone get away with anything.

I had Monday and Tuesday off, it was nice to have two days off in a row, and on Tuesday the kids and I went to the park. I got some really great shots! Monday we went to my parents house and they played outside with Taylor. I worked Friday and Saturday both 11-4 and then I have Sunday and Monday off, work Tuesday and off Wednesday and then work Thurs through Sat and off Sunday and work Monday and Tuesday. I kind of wish I had two days off in a row though. I know this Sunday we are going to visit my grandma and grandpa. My grandma went to the hospital on Sunday, her pnemonia had not gone away it had gotten worse regardless if she was taking her medicine. So I am hoping she feels better by Sunday. Monday I will probably go down to mom's but not sure on Wednesday.

The kids are still getting use to the idea of staying with David Wed-Friday and on Monday's when I work. I think he lets them get away with more than I do. But I do know for a fact they have not been taking their naps anymore and you can tell.

It's been a little while

Wow! I am so bad with keeping up with blogging, but I do have a reasonable excuse. Work!!! I have been working since Monday without a day off and I work tomorrow. Then Monday and Tuesday I am off work and so READY to be! The job is to say the least not what I thought it was, and I can tell you right now I do not want to do this for the rest of my life. I am still *looking* in the mean time and sending my resumes out as well. I was mislead by the company in several ways, and am sticking it out right now, because I really don't have a choice. I knew I should of kept the kids that I was watching at least until I saw how this was going to go. I could still kick myself for that.

Suprisingly Kaylee has done really good and has not cried when I left. The kids are either with David or my parents, when I am not around.

This past week we have watched He's just not that into you and well it wasn't that great. I thought it was going to be really good. But it was kind of boring. We watched Transformers last night, for the first time, and I really liked it. It kept me on the edge of my seat and was entertaining. I want to see the second one now. I also watched the MTV movie awards the other night and I have to say that although I did not like Twilight, I really want to see New Moon. It looks really good.

I am super excited for tomorrow night to roll around because my show is back on! ARMY WIVES season 3 premire at 10/9 central on Lifetime. I so love this show! I have been watching the Bachlorette as well on Monday's...it's pretty interesting to say the least.

Lots to post about. I am so bad about keeping up with this lately. Well Wednesday Skyler had his preschool graduation and it was soooooo cute!!! Kaylee was sitting on my lap dancing like all the kids were in the front. It kills her to have to sit with me and not go with Skyler. Skyler's class sang 5 songs. One was 5 little Monkey's and that was the cutest thing. My parents and grandparents as well as Kelley and Taylor were there to see him graduate.

On Friday Kinlea wasn't here so I kind of had a 4 day weekend. David and I stayed home and the kids went to my parents, like every Friday. We had gotten groceries on Thursday, so there wasn't anything to do except relax! Saturday the kids and I went out to see my grandma and spent a little time out there. Then Sunday David, the kids and I went to Kelley's and Joe's. Joe does a thing for Memorial Day on Sunday. There was a ton of people there and I had no clue who any of them were except Joe's mom, dad and step dad. Then Monday we went to my mom and dads and had a bbq. It was pretty nice!!!

Today was kind of a bitter sweet day. I had been on two interviews for Subway for the assistant manger position and hadn't heard anything, so I just figured I didn't get the job. Well today around 10 the manager called and offered me the job. And right now we really need for me to take this job and I said yes. I start Monday. Which is crazy b/c I didn't really have time to tell the kids parents that I babysit for. I was crying when I told Katie. I really enjoy watching Kinlea and I hate to see her go, but babysitting was not making the bills anymore. Since Kailyn left, since her brother died in the accident and her parents couldn't afford to bring her to me and are using a free daycare since they are state employeed, things haven't been too good financial wise. So I had to make a decision and it was to go back to work. But I am excited b/c I have awesome potential in this company. They don't promote by seniority they promote by hard work! Finally a company that does that. I am a hard worker, I always get it my all so I am hoping that I can be a manager at a store sooner than later.

And last....I am so excited!!! Kelley finds out what she is having tomorrow! I think she is having a boy, a couple weeks after she told me she was pregnant I just had this feeling that she was carrying a boy. I had the same feeling when I was carrying Skyler and I knew I was carrying a girl with Kaylee. So we will see!

Over the last week I have watched Season Finale's and I have to say I have not been impressed. The only one that I really liked was Grey's Anatomy. They did an awesome job and it left you in suspense. I for one knew that John Doe was George. As every time they would mention him they would go back to John Doe laying in the bed. The ending was really powerful and just in general great! I just finished watching Desperate Housewives the other night and I have to say woopie doo! Ok so it's suppose to be a mystery who Mike's marrying. Come on give us a better cliff hanger than that. And now on to my favorite show One Tree Hill. I just want to bawl! Chad and Hilarie are not going to be back next season as Lucas and Peyton, and I think I will be leaving the series with them. I feel that Lucas is the heart of the show and without him I just don't think it will be the same. They sent them off in a good farewell and I am so glad that Peyton did not die at the end. I just watched 90210 and it was pretty good. That one made me wonder who/what Annie ran over and the car that was behind her had a WBHH sticker on the back, So I guess someone will know what she did. I watched Smallville and BLAH! I just can't believe that show this year. The show just has no substance. It use to be really good. I did watch Private Practice and that one was just as BLAH. So now I guess it's waiting till September to them to begin...which is only 4 months away.

One show that I am so happy to start watching again is Army Wives, it's back in June. I love, love, love that show and it left us at a good cliffhanger! I am also going to start watching the Bachlorette. That's about all I have to post right now....off to bed!

A new look

As if you couldn't tell right? Amanda from SMG made it and she did an AMAZING job! Those girls are so awesome over there. This weekened went by so fast. Well Saturday we went to Joe's for a suprise Birthday party for him. He was suprised. He is an avid Scooby Doo watcher (even though he is 32, can't take the kid out of ya) so my sister got a scooby doo cake, plates and napkins as well as decorations. The kids love it down at Joe's b/c he lives in the country and owns 125 acres, so they can pretty much go anywhere they want. Kaylee stayed the night down there but Skyler wound up going home with grandma. So Saturday I was left once again with no kids. It was nice and quiet once again. Sunday I went to pick them up. Skyler was at grandma Gerry's house, but Kelley wound up bringing Kaylee home. We had pizza last night and just relaxed.

Today was wild. I had just pulled Skyler's clothes out of the dryer and layed them on the couch to layout before I put them up, and as I was watching Kaylee (which she is just like me, clumsy!) she was in the hallway, which is small anyways, and tripped over her own two feet and slammed her forehead into the wall. But it wasn't a loud hit, but she was crying and when she came over to me she had a bump and it was blue and in about three minutes that bumped had grown severely. So I got worried and called mom. I told her I thought her head was going to explode in that spot, because I have NEVER seen a bump that HUGE on someones head before. But mom told me I did the same thing as a little kid and just to put ice on it and watch her. We got some of the swelling to go down, but she still looks wounded. The bad part is she was chasing Skyler and playing. Poor little girl.

I forgot Monday was Memorial Day, this month has really flown by, and so Sunday we are going to Joe's for a BBQ and then Monday we will head down to moms to relax and for some more BBQ. So it should be nice and relaxing...well hopefully.

And the quiet sets in....

Well it's Friday and the kids are off to mom and dad's and it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop. This is so different than last night was! Skyler was so BAD last night. We went to get groceries and first we wen to eat. All the time in the resturant he kept announcing he had to poop. We had just taken him and he said "I have to poop". That was just the start then we head to Menards both the kids were acting up throwing fits, and refusing to move through the store. People kept looking at us and it was embarassing! Then we headed to Wal-Mart to get groceries, well this was the icing on the cake. Skyler kept either hitting, pinching or slapping Kaylee. Then he was screaming really loud at the top of his lungs and then he started to hit me. That is why I avoid at all costs taking them in public with me like that. Because Skyler can not take no for an answer and has his temper tantrum. I could not remember for the life of me by the time we got home what I had bought. David and I both had headaches and were ready to just sleep.

Today wasn't any better at all. I don't understand why Skyler feels the need to be mean to Kaylee either hitting her or pinching her or sometimes punching. AAAAAAHHHHHH! That is what I feel like. Then once Skyler got to preschool it was quiet...too quiet. Kaylee had said she had to use the restroom, so I wait for about 5 mins and go in the bathroom and oh my..... let me describe what I saw:

There was water on the ground and floor mats, then I see this little girl taking her shorts and dumping them in and out of the toilet, I also see on the floor her underwear completely soaked and her shirt was on but soaked. I just didn't know what to say...I just walked away and put my hands on my face covering my eyes and just sat there for about 2-3 mins. This was just a day today. So I did an extra load of laundry today. Yay! So I am pretty well mentally drained.

I did manage in the midst of things to get some cute pics of the kiddos today. Enjoy and have a great weekend.

This weekend was a whirlwind. It went by way too fast! Sunday dad took mom and I and the kids out to eat at Golden Corral. Kelley didn't get Taylor till later so she didn't go, and David was working. Kaylee got a cold on Saturday so she didn't eat a ton. She did eat her yogurt and some ham. Skyler ate like a little piggy. Then we went to my grandma's and Kelley and Taylor were out there. My grandpa's sister and her two boys and along with my grandpa's brother came up. It was nice to visit with them for a little while. After David got off work we went to KFC to eat. Mother's ate free yesterday. We invited my mom and dad, my grandma had just eatten so she stayed at home. It was a pretty good Mother's Day.

The kids and I went home after going to my grandma's for a little while. While we were in Columbia after we ate that morning we went to Menard's. This is a new store for us here. They are like Lowe's and Home Depot, expect I like their store a lot more. they also carry groceries and general purpose items as well. I got the kids some bubbles, the kind that don't spill if they are tipped over. Kaylee got Dora and Skyler got Spoonge Bob. Yesterday they blew some bubbles. Here are some pics of it!

Last week we just got Skyler's preschool graduation invitations to give out. He graduates on the 20th. I can't believe the school year is almost over with. But he has just learned so much! He is going back next year...there is still some stuff he needs to learn yet. They graduate every year. Next Wednesday he has singing at his school, and up until this point we have missed them; partly because David was working on Wednesday's and I just can't handle both kids at once in public; but this time we are going. I am looking forward to it. He knows soooooo many songs and comes home and sings them. He goes to our church preschool and they do teach him about God, and the things he knows amazes me. Kaylee is learning a lot from him about God as well, and preschool in general. Kaylee has found an extra backpack and is now carrying it around and likes to think she is going to go to school as well.

I took some new pics of the kids, Skyler is so hard to take any of. He says he wants to, but then runs away and hides. Kaylee is still bearable at taking them, but we have to take at least 30 before we get 5 good ones. I have my screen saver set on just general pics and when it scrolls through all the old pics, I just want to cry. I can't believe how big they have gotten! David and I have discussed about having another kid...but it will have to be a couple years down the road if we do. I would love to have another baby...just not yet. I think David is more ready to than I am, but financially we just are not there yet. And I am not there mentally yet either. So in 2010/2011 we may be trying for another...just not now.

I had to laugh today! Kaylee is sometimes just the funniest little thing I have to say. Dylan, a little baby that I watch (well he is one now), Kaylee put him in her doll stroller and as he sat there she pretended to give him a hair cut. At first, which I did not have my camera then, she had her blankie around him like one of those things they put around you when you are getting your hair cut, anyways here is a pic:

I hope that everyone has a great mother's day. My dad is taking my mom, sister and I out to breakfast that morning along with the kids. We do this every Mother's Day and I am ready this year. The kids picked out a Mother's Day card for my mom, and it sings "you are my sunshine". Still have not been able to find anything for her. But I will look Friday. If there is something to be said about Motherhood it's that they never said it was going to be easy...but it is one thing: AMAZING! Happy Mother's Day!

Seems like Saturdays are my days to post. Don't know why...I guess I just don't feel like it during the week. Well last Saturday Kelley, Skyler, Kaylee and I went to see Monsters vs. Aliens. It was pretty cute and the 3D was neat. Skyler really like it. It was Kaylee's first movie....but she did pretty good. David and I watched Bride Wars the other night. It was ok...just not great. I really wish movies were like they use to be. Skyler, Kaylee and I watched Hotel for Dogs on Thursday and they loved it. I have to admit I thought it was pretty darn cute!! There was a part where the dogs were taken to the pound and Kaylee started crying. She was so offended that they would be taken to the pound, it was kind of cute. They wound up watching the movie twice.

David and I went to go get groceries tonight and we ate at Friday's. Now if you have not signed up for their stripes card (which is free) you are missing out. Two weeks ago we went and I got a coupon in my email for having a stripes card for $10 off your entire purchase. And then David signed up and got a buy one entre get a second one free. So we ate out for $13.50 tonight. They also have right now $5 sandwhiches and soups. We got the Jack Daniels Chicken sandwhich and didn't know it was $5...b/c the menu said $9.50 but the waitress later told us it was one that they are running this month. She said next month they are suppose to send out another bogo again...so go sign up!!

So I am up late. WAY WAY WAY later than I normally am. It's 2:30 am here. I just can't sleep and I know I am going to be regreting it later. We got some spring cleaning done around here this week. I have some more to do this weekend. We cleaned off the deck and ate outside tonight. The weather has been gorgeous here lately. The kids enjoy getting to play outside. They fight over who gets to ride the bike.

Well it is just a little after midnight here. David and I went to Columbia today but we did not wind up seeing 17 again. More my idea than his. I got this coupon from TGIFridays in my email and it was $10 off any purchase. We ate for WAY less than what it would of costs to go see a movie. I love TGIFriday's. The food is just so good. Then we went on a little shopping spree. Not much just a little. We hit up Khols and Kaylee still needed some play shirts for the summer and I picked up two at $4.80 each, and I also picked up a shirt for $6 for Skyler. Then we headed over to Children's Orchard and I got Kaylee a pair of denim capris and denim gauchos for $7 each. Children's Orchard is a second hand store. You can sell your clothes to them for money or take store credit. Then we went to the mall and headed to The Children's Place. I got Skyler two shirts that are so cute!! Then we went to Wal-Mart to get the groceries. Well I guess all the Wal-Marts around here discontinued Dual Action Spray and Wash, so I had to wind up going back to Target and picking it up. I live by that stain remover and will not use anything else. It works WONDERS!!

I am going back to Columbia today. I want to pick up a pair of shorts for Skyler and have to return a movie we rented. I also want to look for a couple more play shirts for Kaylee as well and return a few items that I keep forgetting to take. I have no big plans for today so it will be nice to just take my time.

I have to say that I am sooooo ready for Friday. This week hasn't gone slow...but it does seem like it is taking forever in a way. David and I on Friday are going to go see 17 again! I am so excited about this one. It looks fun. I haven't seen a great movie in a long time and I am hoping that this is one of them! Out next week that I want to see is Obsessed and Fighting with Channing Tatum and he is just so yummy to look at, but the movie does look good too. I doubt that we will be able to see the last two just because of money, but I def want to see 17 again. It looks like one of those make you feel good kind of movies.

I think I am still tired from Kaylee's party this past weekend. I just have not seemed to get enough sleep yet. I don't get up until 7 but still am just soooo tired in the mornings. Today when I got the mail I got a flyer from Children's Place and saw a cute shirt that I want to get Skyler. I still need to get Kaylee some play shirts and a pair or two of capris. She has nice shirts to go out in...but no real play shirts to wear around the house. So that will be what I am going to be doing on Friday.

I ordered some stuff for Skyler from Crazy8.com a little while ago and sent almost all of it back because of sizing issues. Their sizes run HUGE!! Well I called the girl last Thursday and she said that they processed my refund on the 3rd and that I should have it by the 13th. Well it is still no in my bank account. So I am going to be giving them a call. It is just kind of frustrating that a lot of places can give you a refund immediately, but this one can't. I don't mind waiting...but I would like it to be in there when they say that it is going to be in there.

I took some pretty cute pics of the kids today and I am waiting to take some more this weekend. I have my sisters SLR camera and LOVE it! So I will try to get some pics posted soon.

Easter and Kaylee's Birthday

It was a pretty nice weekend. We went to my grandpa's brother's 50th Wedding Anniversary and the food was really good and it was nice. A lot of people I did not know...but several I did. My grandpa is one of 9 kids and only 4 are still alive. That would be my Grandpa's brother Vernon, Irvin, Catherine and grandpa. Before today I only knew that there were 6, see parents don't always tell you everything. He lost his sister Elma several years ago and about 2 years before that he lost his brother Tony.

Yesterday Kaylee was sooo excited! As you can tell in the pics above. Skyler would not for the life of her let her open her own presents. So she really didn't have a reaction to anything. But when we got home she was super excited about everything. The kids of course got a lot of candy. The Easter Bunny was pretty good to them. I am still tired from yesterday!

Yep she is 3 today! I just can't believe it. We have lots of things going on this weekend. We are going to my grandfather's brothers 50th wedding anniversary today. And then on the way back I have to pick up sissy's cake. She wanted Care Bears. I figured it is better to pick it up today then tomorrow and have to make a special trip to get it. Then Sunday of course is Easter and we are celebrating Kaylee's birthday! I can't wait. She is so excited and keeps saying she can't wait. She cracks me up!

Today Skyler and her got Easter stuff from Kinlea. They were in Heaven! We gave Kinlea her Easter basket and she is so funny because when she gets happy she squeals. Normally it is a very squealy day here but today was even more so. Then the kids and I put together Taylor, Ashtyn's and Jordan's Easter things, and the kids kept asking where theirs were. I got theirs put together while they were napping. I have them hidden. Kaylee's getting a small toy for hers and Skyler is getting a Cars Hauler Truck from the movie cars. He will be excited.

New blog look. Thanks to Cara from SMG. Those ladies rock over there. I am so excited for spring to get here. I think after this week it is going to start warming up! Skyler had his Easter Party at school today and he had a great time. Of course he got quite a bit of candy too. He is out Friday and Monday for Easter break.

It has been really quiet around here since Kailynn isn't here anymore. I have applied to a couple of places and hoping to hear something soon. I need something that is going to get the bills paid off sooner than later. I am just crossing my fingers that everything goes good.

Things have been pretty quiet lately. And we are still getting settled in. I have just finished Skyler's Laundry today and did Kaylee's yesterday. Tomorrow will be ours and towels and then all will be done! I have gotten the kids clothes hung up and everything else unpacked. Today wasn't so bad...still pretty cool. Tomorrow is suppose to be 63 and I will be so happy.

Sunday we are having Kaylee's Birthday and it's suppose to be in the 40's. I have a dress for her to wear...but I think she won't be wearing it b/c of the weather. But that is ok. I still need to get Skyler some tennis shoes and another pair of sandals. Gap and Old Navy are having 30% off until the 9th. So I am probably going to order from there.

I have posted some photos from our trip to Louisiana. Man do I still miss it!!

Back to the REAL WORLD

Oh man we did not want to come back home. We had such a great time. We didn't get to see everyone we wanted to while we are in...but that is what happens when you only have a few days to see about 15 people. We drove down Thursday and stayed with David's aunt Linda and then headed to New Orleans on Friday morning.

The kids were excited to see their grandparents. Kaylee, David and I met up with Damon on Saturday to get stuff for her Birthday. Skyler stayed with his paw paw. Later Damon, David and I went to Izzi's Illegal Burrito. It was soooo good. They let you make your own and you can put whatever you want in it. Then Sunday we had Kaylee's Birthday party. Most everyone showed up. The kids had a blast with the kids that were there. There were 5 other kids besides ours their. Alexis, Aubrey, Sarah, Sophia and Stephen. The kids had bubbles to play with and side walk chalk. It was such a nice day!! Monday Grandma Mary took the kids to the park and then took them to the mall. David and I got to kind of relax and we had Fongs that day. It is a wonderful chinese resturant. Tuesday we were suppose to go to the zoo, but we thought we were going to get rained out. So we went to the riverwalk and then headed home. We were in Paw Paw's truck and it had a blow out. It was so scary. Wednesday the kids and David and I went several places. On Thursday we went up to Baton Rouge and stopped at a few outlets while we were there and stopped by LaPlace to see Roz, Ally and Charles on the way home. On Friday we went to the zoo with paw paw and Damon. Friday night we got some already boiled crawfish. They were soooooo good. Aunt Stella came by as well. The kids got in the hot tub and had a ton of fun. Paw paw watched the kids that night while we went with Damon to see Fast and Furious. It was good...but I still like the first one the best. Then Satuday it was time to pack up and start heading home. We stopped by the Strawberry Festival and I really wished we would of had another day down there or was going in this week...so we could of enjoyed it more. They had so much stuff there and a ton of good New Orleans food. I so miss the food down and there.

I do have to admit it gets harder and harder to leave everytime we go in. I wish we could stay down there for 2-3 weeks at a time. That would be the best. We will probably be moving back in a few years. Right now we need to get some bills payed off before we make that venture. I love my family here...but do really miss it down there as well. But we are back to reality and it is good to be home...but I still miss it bad!!

Twilight???

Ok so I now several of you have heard the huge buzz about Twilight. I have never read the books or saw the movie till last night. All the ladies are raving about it, so I was excited to rent it and watch it. So I was expecting this epic romance between Bella and Edward and just a wonderful movie in general. It was a HUGE disappointment!!!! The movie was very slow moving to start off with...but I stuck with it. Ok I understand the romance between Bella and Edward but it was nothing that makes you want to see this movie over and over. Soooo many people talked this movie up and that they had seen it over and over. My question is why? I was just disappointed. Am I the only one that feels like this?

Anyways we are so ready to go. It has been raining cats and dogs here lately. That is my little rant for this morning.

Still sick

Man! Kaylee and I went to the doctors on Friday and we have just something viral. She didn't say what just that it is going around. I am still sick and I hate it. Kaylee is finally over hacking her lungs out, which I tried every cough medicine known to man which nothing worked. She is running around playing today. But yesterday all she did was sleep. She is still coughing but not as bad. I still have a head cold and it is miserable! My eyes are red and I am sneezing like crazy. I hope I am over this by the time that we leave for Louisiana. I am so ready and excited to go!

Yesterday I got all their underwear, socks, sleeping clothes and bathing suits together. I figured by today I would have everything ready to be packed. It will be so much easier to do all that now then later. I am going to pack my stuff up tomorrow and I hope that David will do the same thing. Although he is a procrastonator, but he only has until the end of Tuesday to do it b/c he has somewhere to be for his job Wednesday and Thursday. So he really doesn't have a choice in the matter.

We were suppose to go to my cousins sons birthday today...but since I am still not feeling well and Kaylee still is coughing I think we are going to stay right at home today. My head is killing me. I have so much pressure behind my eyes it is miserable! I am glad that spring is here but everytime it comes I get these terrible head colds. This will probably be my last post till we get back and I am sure I will have a ton of pictures to share.

It is jus the worst ever. This is one of the worst sinus infections that I have had and I think it's because since my spleen is out that I have nothing to help fight it. GRRRR!!! The kids I think are starting to feel better. They still have a cough but it's not too bad. But now of course I am sick and there is nothing like taking care of kids at the same time as being sick.

I am so ready to head to Louisiana. Nice weather for sure and it will be wonderful. I have to say in the spring I miss it because it is so nice and warm. We are going to the zoo, so be warned there will be a ton of pictures to post. We are also having Kaylee's Birthday down there too. So I am sure there will be plenty of pics from that too. We are having My Little Pony down there and she picked out Care Bears for here.

While we are in I am secretly hoping to eat some boiled crawfish. If you are not from Louisiana and have no idea what I am talking about let me fill you in. What they do is have a HUGE pot to cook the yummy stuff in. Then they buy sacks of crawfish most are in 40 lbs sacks. A crawfish looks like a miniture lobster, or can be referred to as crawdaddies. First you purge them which means they are alive and you fill them up, most use a larger cooler and fill it with water and you purge them with salt. This helps them spit up all the dirt and mud, cause that is where they love to be in. We normally purge them 2-3 times. Then you stick them in the hot boiling water and add the crawfish seasoning which is spicy and after a bit they are good to eat. YUM!! Then you also boil new potatoes and little corn and I compeltely love the corn. It is so spicy and good. Ah man I really miss it down there now!

Man what a weekend!

Geez. Saturday morning about 7:15 am my mom called and told me that Skyler was running a fever and coughing. He was eatting and fine other wise. Well we left Skyler with dad and went to Columbia, because I had to get groceries or we would have nothing to eat. So after we got back Skyler was not having anymore fever and we all laid down and took a nap. Well Skyler's fever started again about 7 pm, so I gave him more tylenol and then he went to bed. Sunday he didn't have a fever and was eatting just fine. So mom kept him since he didn't want to go with us to the outlets. Well we got back around 8 last night and he was running a fever again. I just can't figure it out. Well about 20 minutes after we got home he didn't have a fever, and the crazy thing is mom hadn't given him any tylenol since about 5:30 that evening. Well today he has been fine...just coughing and no fever. But his coughing is getting better.

So on to yesterday. David, Kaylee and I went to the outlets and Kaylee was really good. I love her being potty trained but about every 45 minutes she has to use the bathroom. I got some pretty good deals, didn't find a lot at the outlet stores...more at the regular malls and stuff. I did get some awesome shirts for Skyler at Carters and a couple of cute things for Kaylee at Carters as well. I also found at Sears, Kaylee loves Yo Gabba Gabba, some underwear and sleeping clothes in Yo Gabba Gabba; Kaylee was excited. Last night after we got home, David decided he was going to give the kids a bath. He ran the water and told the kids that he was ready for them. Kaylee went flying into the bathroom, tripped over David's jeans he had left in the bathroom floor and went mouth first into the bathtub. I was in the kitchen and heard her start crying immediately. So I went into the bathroom to find her mouth bleeding big time. I took her in the kitchen and got the bleeding to stop and checked out her mouth, which she did not want me to do willingly, but she finally gave in. After looking in her mouth and around it, she had:
~Cut her lip upper and bottom on the right hand side
~One of her top teeth had moved just a little in her mouth and you could see a little blood around the top of it
~A couple of her bottom teeth had a little bit of blood around them at the bottom of them.
Her mouth was completely sore, so I gave her motrin last night and I didn't dare try to brush her teeth. I figured that it was not too good of an idea. This morning her mouth was swollen on the right side and I gave her more motrin through out the day. She is eatting and doing good. I called the dentist and they said that she should be fine. Then I called the ER and they told me to just watch her if her mouth doesn't feel any better or the swelling doesn't go down in a few days to take her in to see the doctor.

Last night David got a chewing out. He is bad about just leaving anything lie around. We have a hamper in the bathroom, but he uses everything but that. His shoes he leaves wherever. But he felt horrible and I think he has actually realized that he should put stuff where it goes. But now it seems like Kaylee has gotten Skyler's cough and tonight she was running a fever. I do blame the weather. Just last week it was in the 30's and now this past weekend and today it has been in the 60's. We get really nice weather and then it gets cold again.

The kids did enjoy the weather today. It was so pretty and nice. I didn't take any photos just enjoyed the weather for a change.

Wow am I bad for what?

I haven't posted in over a week. I have been semi busy. We just got our tax refund back today and tomorrow I am going to St. Louis Mills (and outlet center) to go do some shopping. I am so ready too. I have not been anywhere except Columbia since October and am ready to get out for a day. I am stopping in Burlington Coat Factory, Carters, Gap Outlet, Old Navy Outlet, Gymboree Outlet and the Children's Place Outlet for sure.

I did get my clothes listed on ebay. I just hope they sell. I am going to round up Skyler's clothes and take them to the place that buys kids clothes. I have been really tired lately and do not know why. I think I need to get my butt to bed at a better time though!

We are going to Louisiana here in two weeks! And I am so ready to go! Kaylee turns 3 on April 11th and we are going to have a birthday party for her while we are in. So that should be fun. I am meeting up with several friends while we are in and they both have kiddos the kids ages. But that is about all that has really happened around here lately.

That is what I feel like today. I think this week has just dragged on. I love my kids...but tonight I think I am ready to ship them out! Skyler since Tuesday has been complaining of his stomach hurting, and he hasn't run a fever, hasn't thrown up and he has been eatting. Not a ton but eating regular food. I called the doctor and they said that there really isn't much that they could do since he doesn't have any of the other symptoms. I am not sure what he had for snack at school on Monday but it have have not set right with him. But today he complained a little...not as much as yesterday.

Kaylee is doing so well on the potty. She hasn't peed her diaper during the night or during nap time since Saturday. I am so proud of her. And a big plus is NO MORE DIAPERS!! Man is that a good feeling or what?

The two little kiddos that I watch Kailyn who is 2, she use to go to another babysitter and her mom would said that about 5 blocks from her baby sitters house she would starting crying immediately. Well her she calls me "momma" and hugs me all the time. Her mom says she loves it here and one night at her house she got in trouble with her dad and he sent her to her room. Well her mom goes up finds her with a Wal-Mart sack putting toys and clothes in it and she asks her "what are you doing?" She replied "Going to Shauna's, I tired of daddy". I thought that was sooo cute. I am glad that she likes coming here.

Kinlea is 8 months and I get hugs from her. When she comes in, in the morning she is all smiles and so excited to see everyone. She will look over for me and smiles real big. She can go from not eating at home and not feeling well, to coming here and being happy and eating all the food her mom brings her. They both are just happy kiddos. Kinlea and Skyler have a very special bond! She adores him, why I am not quite sure...but he loves her just as much back. They will be sitting on the floor together and she will reach over and hug him, or he will do it to her. It's sooo cute!!

Oh man! So I just got done watching the Bachleor and after watching after the rose, I think I could of reached through the tv and seriously smacked him in the face!! How do you do that to someone? How do you propose and then take it back and then in the same sentence say I want to be with the girl I let go? All I have to say is he better watch out b/c a little old lady is going to see him on the street and take her purse and sock him in the head with it! I am so heated over this. My husband was sitting beside me on the couch and as soon as that happened, you could see him slowly moving away from me.

Other than that today was pretty quiet. The kids weren't too bad. I fixed the kids chicken quesadillas, they love them. Well today nobody wanted to eat theirs. I also bought mozerella sticks and no one would eat them. I tried them both and they were good. So I am not sure what is going on. A lady from David's work sent home Banana Nut Bread and Kaylee has been eatting that up. Skyler says he doesn't like it. He is the more picky one of the two. I also fixed spaghetti for supper well he kept saying he didn't like it. So I told him that I was not fixing anything else. Kaylee ate all of hers and Skyler decided that he like it and he ate it all. Kids I tell ya!

The weekend just goes by too fast. Seems like it just turns Friday evening and BOOM it's Monday again. The kiddos got back about 9 this am and I was still asleep. I heard mom banging on the door. I bet I could sleep forever if given the chance. Kaylee was in such a good mood today and let me take some very cute pics of her! They are above. She was in the mood to, she said "mommy can I take pictures?" and I looked at her and was like "YES!!" So she was a posing away. Skyler does not like the camera so much I think he just had too much when he was a baby. It's hard to believe that Skyler will be 5 this year and Kaylee in just 40 days will be 3! Where does the time go? I can remember being in the hospital with both of them just like it was yesterday.

Tonight David and I watched Nights in Rodanthe, finally. It was soooooo good. Kind of makes you feel good...but still sad.

My blog got a wonderful new makeover again. Thanks again to Ashley at SMG, she is the best! She really never ceases to amaze me each time! The kids stayed at grandmas yesterday, and I went grocery shopping. I picked up two shirts for Kaylee at the children's place and love them and they were on sale. This is the first purchase at Children's place besides Kaylee's hat that I have made in over TWO YEARS. Normally I don't like their stuff, I shopped for Skyler there all the time when he was a baby...but once he hit the two stage they started changing their style to more of a hippie kind of look and I lost interest. I went to go get a few shirts at Old Navy that I had seen online that I liked...but they did not have them in, hopefully next week. I think purple, brown, orange, yellow and green are going to be big this summer. Poor Skyler I haven't found anything that I like for him yet...but the season is just beginning. I also saw a cute dress at Target yesterday and think I might take back Kaylee's easter dress and get her this one. It's white with a blue border design at the very bottom.

Today the kids came home and Kaylee & I were looking at the Tinkerbell party supplies online and we stumbled upon My Little Pony stuff and that is all she wrote. So we will be having a My Little Pony party. She loves My Little Pony's, she really likes the Newborn Cuties in that collection, so we might put that on her list and let people know what she would like. She has seen the commercials on tv and she likes the So Many Suprises Dora the explorer and wants those along with the newborn cuties too. I can remember just last year she had no interest in girl stuff and now she loves them. So I am happy that she has finally found something she likes. She also likes Blue Clue's and Yo Gabba Gabba! The baby I watch loves Yo Gabba Gabba as well. Mom sasys the two babies she watches loves it as well. Must just be something about the program. I know so many songs by heart from that show.

Tonight we went to eat with Kelley and Joe. Joe's house is haunted, so Ghost Hunters is at his house tonight until a little after midnight. I am not sure when it will air...but I am curious to see it. Joe has said that he was sleeping one night and something pulled him half way off his bed. My sister has said that something had set down on her foot one night. They don't have any animals except for outside. Anyway Skyler was insistant on going to Joe's and wound up upset and crying so he would up talking grandma into letting him and sissy say the night again. So it should be pretty quiet around here tonight.

That is about all I can say right now! This week is going fast...but I am so exhausted right now. I have been in bed by 10 and get up at 6, but still am just too tired. My belly has been kind of sore the past couple of days I wonder if it has anything to do with that?

We thought we were going to owe on our taxes but we actually get a little something back so not too bad. I have to take pictures of Kaylee's clothes from last year and list them on ebay, hopefully get them or some of them listed on Sunday. Her clothes are in such excellent condition and most are gymboree...there are some dresses, shorts and shirts that came from Target, Old Navy or Kohl's. I wish I did not have to part with them...but she is just too tall. I even tried on the dresses and she is just too tall for them. Now once again like every year you have to start over to find clothes and it bums me out this year like it did the year before b/c I loved everything she had last year. Oh well. Boy clothes just don't do that well on ebay except if they are Gymboree and I buy more polo shirts for Skyler and I love Old Navy's so that is where I shop for him at. We know a lady that buys our boy clothes and just let her know about them...so I hope we can get them sold to her. One thing...if you didn't know...I am a nut when it comes to my kids clothes. I use dual action spray n wash for their stains on their clothes and will swear by it. I make sure all stains are out before they go into the dryer, that is how their clothes stay in such good condition.

Well I guess it's ok to mention now...the big news that I couldn't share before now...my sister is pregnant!! I am excited for her. She is kind of indifferent about it. Wasn't expecting it...but she and Joe were planning on getting married this year before they knew about the baby. They both can financially help with the baby, and Joe is a great guy. My sister really got a good one this time. Taylor is excited about being a big sister and this is Joe's first. Both he and Kelley have been married before, Kelley had Taylor with her ex...but Joe didn't have any kids with his first wife. Joe is very happy. The did get "officially" engaged this past weekend. The funny thing is I was the first to know besides Joe of course and then she told mom, and grandma...but she didn't tell dad till Monday. Dad I think was more caught off guard than anything. Kelley was going to tell him in person...but dad wasn't there when she was getting ready to leave so she called him and told him first that Joe and her had gotten engaged and dad said "congrats" and then she told him that she was pregnant and all dad said was "oh". If you knew my parents you would understand. When they found out I was pregnant with Skyler (and grant you I was married) they respond with oh my goodness. But once the baby gets here they get excited. And mom when she found out I was having a boy she was like "I can't believe you are having one of those crazy little boys"...but her and Skyler are inseparable. I for one LOVE babies...so I am super excited, especially since I will be watching him/her. She is due in October, so I guess I will be having a baby shower to plan for, she says she doesn't want one...but it has been almost 9 years since Taylor and she has nothing for a baby. I told her this is Joe's first and besides that I want to. It might have to be a suprise one though!

Yep we missed it...but wanted to say it anyways. I bet the parades were a lot of fun. This week is going by pretty fast and I am already ready for it to be over. Tomorrow we are going to my parents to eat dinner, so it should be nice. My side is really hurting me today...not sure why but it does.

Sunday we watched Fireproof...different than what I thought it was about but I really liked it. And suprisingly David liked it as well. It has a lot of meaning in the movie and I recommend anyone watch it. That is all the updates for now!

The kids are not feeling well again. Kaylee is the worst, she is coughing really deep coughs and is very stopped up. She also I think has conjunctivitis. So we went through a couple doses of Tylenol with cough syrup today and tonight. I also loaded her up with Vick's on her chest and neck and back, and then turned on her humidifier. Skyler has either a cold in both eyes or something. He woke up yesterday morning with his left eye red and then this morning his left eye had pretty well cleared up, but his right eye now looks the same. I am hoping we get over this stuff soon. Kaylee gets over her cough and then gets it back a week later. It is just frustrating.

I got the kids Easter outfits yesterday. I got Kaylee's dress from Gymboree and had a 20% coupon to use. Her dress is soooo cute! It's the first Easter dress that I have really liked in a long time. I also got Skyler's shirt from their as well. It is pretty cute as well. I tried them on both of them today and Kaylee loved her dress...but as for Skyler he wanted nothing to do with his shirt.

Tonight since the kids were sleeping I watched High School Musical 3. Yep I know! I am a dork. I watched the first two and I just had to watch the last one. I can think my 8 year old niece for getting me to watch the first two, the last one was all me. But I have to admit I kind of like musicals and dance movies. My husband does not like this fact, but he suffers through half of them if it's the only thing on and I won't change it. I think secretly he likes 'em! :)

I really want to see He Is Just Not That Into You and also the new one with Tom Hanks the sequel to The Di Vinci Code. Now I have not seen the Di Vinci Code, which I plan on watching before I see the sequel. The other weekend I watched Lakeview Terrace and it was really good. But the big one I plan on watching tomorrow night is Nights in Rodanthe.

Well things are kind of getting back to normal around here. Last night I actually got to drive for the first time and it was quite nice, although my belly did not think so a little bit later that night. We went to mom and dad's to eat. The kids love going over there, I think it's because grandma Susie gives them whatever they want. Although I am looking forward to tomorrow. This means that I have a night to myself without the kids, which is always nice.

I have been watching The Bachleor lately. I quit watching it about 2-3 years ago because it got old...but the guy that they have up there now seems really down to earth. I just can't believe that the girl that did not chose him on the Bachleorette has the nerve to come back and want a second chance with him, after her other realtionship goes south. This really bugs me! She had her chance and chose to be with Jesse verse Jason. I am rooting for Melissa, I don't feel as if Molly has let her guard down and I just don't think she is as real as Melissa is. I couldn't believe that he let Jillian go! I was rooting for her or Mel, and well now I am rooting for Mel. You can just tell that she really truly cares for him. So I am rooting her on.

Also I know this is kind of a touchy subject but I def have an opinion. The mom that gave birth to the octuplets, I am just in awe over this! She has six kids already, doesn't work and lives with her mother who already takes care of the six that she has...then wants to have more kids. I watched the interview with her and watched Dr. Phil's discussion on the subject. She has this void, I think, that has to be filled by a baby. I think once they get past the baby stage she wants another. The lady that is/was representing her says that the community needs to pull together to help the kids out. I understand and do agree that the kids need to be taken care of, but I feel that this is not the communities place to do this. She needs to be held accountable for choosing to have these kids. And don't get me wrong I have a strong need normally to help people, but I just don't feel it here. She is living with her mom and basically has no responsiblities to her six that she had before and then wants help after she chose to have more kids. I think she needs to take care of herself and get a job and prove that she can take care of herself and the six that she already had and then bring the babies back into the picture. Like I said this is just my opinion but this really burns me up.

I am also watching American Idol for the first time in 2 years! And I am rooting for Danny all the way! I am so touched by his story. He went to the audition just 4 weeks after his wife passed away. I am only wishing the best for him, and he has an amazing voice!

On another note I am pretty bummed. We had planned on taking the kids into Mardi Gras this year, it was going to be their first, but money wise we just don't have it. This is the biggest let down to me b/c Mardi Gras is a lot of fun. We generally go to Metairie and hit the parades. I will not go downtown on Burbon as it would take you an hour to go a block if that, and it's not family-oriented.

Dad brought the kids home around 9 this morning. And needless to say they were full of energy. Since I have had my surgery they know that I can't really correct them. So they pull anything they can and it gets more frustrating by the day. When they first got home they were good and I gave them their Valentine's stuff. But about a couple hours after being home they were just bad! Kaylee was screaming at the top of her lungs and crying since I told her that she couldn't have any more candy and that went on for well over a half hour. Skyler would not listen and kept hitting and being mean to Kaylee. He has been quick to tell me a stern "no" lately. So I had to call mom and have her come up and get Skyler again for the night. When they are seperated they really listen. Kaylee was soooooo extremely good after Skyler left to go to moms. It just amazes me. I love my kiddos but right now they are too much for me to handle on my own. David is off tomorrow through Wednesday so I will have help and they listen to him.

I watched on TV today sappy girly movies. They were on USA I watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Sweet Home Alabama and The Break Up. I loved watching them again and Kaylee sat right beside me and watched as well. Here are some pics from today and I hope everyone had a great day!

Today was pretty quiet. Our pc once again had the power source go out in it in less than 3 weeks. So we got it fixed today and it is back up and running. The kids and I made Red Velvet cupcakes this morning. They love to help. Of course Skyler got lots of candy at his party at school. Kelley was going to take Kaylee up to Taylor's party at school but Kaylee was too tired and did not want to go. Then she got mad later when Kelley showed up again and then she wanted to go. The kids are down at the parents tonight...so it is just me. And it is very nice and quiet.

I did a no-no today. I took Skyler to school today, his school is like a mile from the house. But I am paying for it now. My side is killing me. I am not suppose to drive...but I feel like I am going crazy in this house! I think it upset my stomach b/c it has not been to good since. So I won't be doing that again.

I have a huge thing that I want to share...but I have to wait. Something that I am excited about and happy. So stayed tuned for the first of next month!!!

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I wish everyone a great one. I am going to try to get some cute pics of the kiddos...but they tend not to like the camera anymore...can't say that I blame them I took soooooo many when they were little. I did want to share this pic of Kaylee, it makes me sad. I so miss when she was this little!

Monday dad took me to the doctors and they pulled out the staples in my belly and I felt just as bad as I did the day that I came home from the hospital. With the staples I had gotten down and able to take a bath...but without them I can not seem to get down. My belly is a lot more sore. I am hoping it gets better fast. When I went they told me they had cut my stomach into three different layers. I am restricted to only lifting 10 pounds the remainder of my 4 weeks left and no driving. If I strain too much I have the possiblity of either opening up my 8" incesion or possibly having a hernia. Oh yeah me! This surgery has really thrown me for a loop. I am going to take it slow and do the best I can.

On Friday I only have Kailyn here, so the kids and I are going to make cupcakes instead of cookies. Skyler has his Valentine's Party at preschool and is suppose to wear PJ's and take a stuffed animal with him. We have his treats to take all bunched up and ready. He is excited. We also re-registered Skyler for next year and registered Kaylee. She is going to be the real test. She is very hard headed and I am just waiting to see what she will do. I am only hoping for the best!

I still haven't decided what I am going to do with my blog after Valentine's Day. I really love it and am not wanting to take it down. I think I will leave it up for awhile in reality. The next one will be a St. Pat's day one...but I have all the way till March 1st to use this awesome one.

So it's been almost two weeks since my surgery and thought I would give an update. I have been on the computer...just haven't really felt like blogging. I went in Tuesday Jan 27 expecting what to be an hour surgery turned into a 4 hour one. I have 4 incesions. Three are 7mm and one is 8 inches suppose to have been 10mm. Your spleen is suppose to be the size of your fist and well mine was the size of a newborn baby. No I am not joking, that is what the doctor told me. Recoperating has been more of a challenge than anything. I still have not been able to take a bath! And let me tell ya I am not a happy camper. I go back tomorrow to have the staples removed and I will be glad. But I know it's going to hurt I had the same ones in my belly with both c-sections and they hurt coming out. My stomach is sooooo tender! I am not able to lift anything 10 or more pounds for 6 weeks and I can not drive for 6weeks.

The kids and I are going to make some cake cookies for Valentine's Day and just going to relax. We are going to do that on Friday. I am going to pick up everything I need for them tomorrow. We already gave them their valentine's presents just not their candy. Valentine's is not a huge holiday for me. Never really has been. I personally think it's a waste of money to spend on roses that only last for a few days. I would rather have a nice meal than flowers or candy. But that is just me. David works Valentine's Day so I would say it's just going to be me and the kiddos that day.

A little update on Kaylee she is potty trained! And I could not be happier. Before her third Birthday! Whoo-hoo!

I love my new blog look. Ashley at SMG made it, and she did such an awesome job!

I found out today that I am suppose to be at the hospital at 9 in the morning. So that gives me a little more time in the morning to get some stuff done. I am not sure how the kids are going to do while I am gone, but I am hoping good. I accomplished a lot today. Did all laundry and hung up the clothes, did the dishes and cleaned out the bathroom. I have been looking at project 365 and I would love to do it...but the reality is that I just don't have the time and I don't take pictures every day. I am making lasagna for dinner and that way they have something for tomorrow to eat. So not sure when I will be back blogging but I doubt too soon! Wish me luck!

I am counting down the days till surgery time. It is so close! I just worry about the kids. I think David is going to have the most problem with Kaylee. She is such a momma's girl and doesn't know what to do without me. I just hope that everything goes smoothly. Friday the kids spent the night at grandmas and they got home yesterday and immediately started to fight! I wanted to pull my hair out. They drive me nuts with the fighting.

Last night we went to eat with Kelley, Joe and Taylor. We had pizza at pizzhut and the kids were gobbling it down like they hadn't ate in a day or so. Kelley ordered Chocolate Dunkers and the kids were in love. Kaylee's jeans did not fair to well in the event. Kaylee has a thing that everytime she sees Joe she hides and literally will not get off my leg. I don't know what her problem is...but hopefully she will get over it. Skyler loves Joe...and believe me Joe puts up with all things from Skyler.

Today we went out to see grandma Gerry and pawpaw Frank like we do every Sunday. The kids love them so much and enjoy going out to see them. I want them to spend as much time as possible because they are their great grandparents and I know they are getting older and want them to remember fun times with them. I never knew my great grandparents, so I am glad the kids have this time with them. Of course grandma Gerry gives them every little thing they want.
Tonight we are going down to moms to eat. I had planned on cooking lasagna...but it can wait one more day. That way David won't have to cook anything on Tuesday. He can just reheat and eat. I know I am going to have to get clothes out for each day and have a list of instructions.

Wow...has it really been 15 days!!

I can't believe that it has been half a month since I have posted anything.
I just wanted to let everyone know I went to my doctor's Jan 12th and my surgery is going to be Jan 27th. I am not sure of the time...they call you the day before and let you know. I went yesterday to have my pre-op appointment where they will do blood work, work-up and an EKG on my heart. My recovery time is going to be about 6 weeks. It is similar to my gallbladder surgery: I will have 4 incisions, however one of the incisions will be bigger and if my spleen is too enlarged then they may possibly have to open me up to get it out. But I am hoping not. I really like the doctor and he took a lot of time to explain everything in depth. The reason why I am loosing so many blood cells is with the sphereocytosis my blood cells are sphere shaped which that means to my body it's a foreign substance. So my spleen thinks it's an infection, thus killing them off. The doctor also informed me that our medical bills will go up. After having my spleen removed if I get sick regardless of it just being a cold...I have to go in and see the doctor. Any type of illness untreated could, if not taken care of...well be deadly. I have to get the flu and pnemonia shot every year...this is mandatory. With the surgery like many there are risks...but this one has the possibility of bleeding if a little slip happens. He could tell that I am getting anemic again...and he doesn't want me to have to have another transfusion. I have been getting very fatigued lately...I just can't seem to get enough sleep. My heart was at an accelerated pace which is normal with anemia. So right now I am just hoping that everything stays positive and we get this sucker out with no transfusion before and that everything goes ok.

The past two weekends have not been the best. The weekend before this past one both Skyler and I were sick. And then just last Thursday Kaylee got sick...so between Thrusday night and Sunday morning I had a combined total of 13 hours of sleep, which doesn't help with me being tired anyways. Kaylee still has a cough...but it is getting better. I had the cough for about 3 weeks and finally just last week got rid of it totally. David has picked up a part time job. We will see how it goes. Oh yeah...I think we will have another offical potty trained kiddo on our hands. She went all day today without an accident and was wearing underwear. I have to tell you I sure hope so...because diapers are just too expensive. I am just hoping that in three months she will be potty trained all the way before her 3rd Birthday!

Monday evening I went for parent teacher conferences at Skyler's school and he is doing great. It is so funny that he is just like night and day. He is the prized student at school. Listens, cleans up and so forth. But when he is at home watch out! I have to say that I am very proud of him! There are some things we need to work on with him...but mostly he is doing above average.

David is trying to get off for my surgery and hopefully he will. I won't be able to do anything with the kids, so someone will have to be with them at all times. So we will see.

Been awhile....

Well since my last post anyways. Skyler and I got sick this past weekend and I am so glad that I am starting to feel better! The crazy thing is neither Kaylee nor David got it! I started not feeling good Friday and then right after the girls left I started throwing up. Mom and dad came to get the kids since I wouldn't be able to take care of them. And then Skyler came back Saturday morning and he started throwing up. But he was only sick for about 3 hours most and then he was up running around right after.

Kaylee is going to be 3 in 3 months!! Where has the time gone. Geez it just doesn't seem possible! She has seen Barbie's new Thumbelina's and loves them so she will be getting them for her Birthday. This is what Barbie Blooming Thumbelina looks like:

I start planning Birthday's about 3 months in advance to make sure that I don't forget anything and I am a huge planner. I have always been like that.

Next Monday I go see the doctor who is going to take out my spleen. So I am excited to finally find out the date of my surgery. It will be a weight lifted!

The New Year has begun!

It's so hard to believe that it is a start of a New Year. The kids and I had a good time last night. We played Wii with Taylor. Joe fried fish and Kelley made mac and cheese. Then mom had fruit and fruit dip, veggies and dip, little smokies wrapped in buns and rotelle dip and cheese. The kids snacked all night and ran around at Joe's and Kelley's like crazy. They love going up and down the stairs at his house. Then we left around 9:30 and went to grandma's and grandpa's and went to sleep. We did not see the new year come in. I am just way to tired for that anymore. Yesterday I got Kaylee's hair cut and I love it. I think it is so cute. The curls were getting way to hard to manage. She has super fine hair and gets a ton of rats in it. She did great getting her hair cut! And here she is now:

Kaylee and I went to get groceries b/c I decided that I have kids tomorrow and I am not going anywhere. I also ordered their valentine's shirts tonight from Gap. I just hope that it doesn't take forever to get them in. Usually if I order it today it will be here by Friday of next week at the latest. That is what I am hoping b/c I am getting their pictures taken next Saturday for Valentine's day. We didn't get Christmas pictures taken this year and so I decided taht we will get their pics taken for v-day.

This just doesn't seem possible does it? The year already being gone! Seriously where did it go. I know they say the older you get the faster it goes...but I think I define it by the number of kids that I have and how busy I stay. Just doesn't seem real. I am blogging tonight because tomorrow the kids and I are going to my sisters and her significant others to celebrate and then we are staying at mom and dads. So we won't make it back till Jan 1st. The weather was so nice Sunday, Monday and half of today and now it's getting cold again. It really made me wish for spring and have spring fever. It's suppose to be cold tomorrow. I don't want to drive with the kids on the road and end up in an accident...just in case. David has to work tomorrow and New Years day. He doesn't get any holidays off at all. He even worked Christmas eve 3pm-1am and Christmas day 6pm-12am. I wish he could go tomorrow...but I know he can't.

This year some things I accomplished and some I didn't fair too well on...but in 2009 it can only get better right? This year was a great one and next year will be even better. To all of you HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Whew! That is about all I can say. So I was up late the night before Christmas making sure everything was in order and I didn't forget anything. I thought that I would let the kids sleep till 7:30. As long as it's quiet they don't wake up until then, and seeing that David didn't get off work till midnight I figured he could get some sleep that way. Well I was WRONG! He woke us all up at 6 in the morning. At that point I wanted to knock him out! I was sooooo tired. But we went on to opening presents and the kids had a great time! We video taped it this year. We got the video camera to work...so David did the video camera and I did the camera. We told the kids that one would go at a time and Kaylee piped up and held up her pointing finger and said "Me First". It was soooooo cute! We got it on video. But thankfully they opened up their presents one after then other and waited for the other to get done. Kaylee opened up her gift from Skyler a TINI PUPPINI and a carrying case for it. Then she opened up her gift from us a Fancy Nancy Doll. From Santa she got a Baby Alive doll, some Bratz dolls, Littlest Pet Shop stuff and her Caring Corners Dollhouse and accessories for it. She loves the dollhouse.

Skyler got a Wall-E from Kaylee, and Spike the Ultra Dinosaur from us which he begged for and now is scared of it and will not have anything to do with it. Oh my. And from Santa he got a Handy Manny Truck, a Leapster and a couple games, some Cars stuff, and a screaming Banshee. They both were playing with Kaylee's dollhouse after I put everything on it. The main thing that I don't like about it...is the stickers fall off of it and the rooms aren't a little bit deeper. I like that it's compact and can fold up easily...but there are some things that could be a little better...but Kaylee loves it all the same. But they both got coloring books and colors as well.

We got down to moms and Kaylee got a Tinkerbell kitchen that she is playing with non-stop, some shirts, Littlest Pet Shop stuff and a Cabbage Patch kid. Skyler got a Walkin' Talkin' McQueen, some shirts, a Mack Truck and some cars stuff and Sarge. Then from Aunt Kelley, Taylor and Joe Kaylee got some dollhouse stuff and since Taylor drew her name she got Littlest Pet Shop toy. Skyler got a fishing game and some cars. From Grandma Gerry and Paw Paw Frank Kaylee got Littlest Pet Shop and Skyler got Lightning Storm. From Aunt Tootsie Kaylee got a book with a cd player of Disney Princess' and Skyler got two pillows McQueen and Mator. Then from Ashtyn Skyler got Crayola Color Wonder Magic Light Brush. Whew! I think I got it all. Some stuff is still in it's package. I have no idea where we are going to put this all.

and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse! LOL. That is how it is in my house right now. The kids were actually excited to go to bed for once. Today we made snowman cookies. This is the picture of what we were making...

I thought they were so cute when I saw the picture and I knew I just had to make them. So the kids and I made up the dough and went to work.

That is a picture of all the ingredients that we used for them. I love the whipped icing that Betty Crocker has out now...it is very yummy and doesn't get hard fast.

I hope that everyone has such an enjoyable day tomorrow. The real reason for this season is Jesus' birth, and that is something that is in our hearts. The thing I enjoy most is the kids having a wonderful time and just spending the day with family! So there is only one last thing to say:

That is about all I have to say! I wrapped all the presents tonight and my back is sure feeling it. I am the kind of person who sits on the floor and wraps. But at least it is done! Tonight I ran to Columbia while David stayed with the kids. I had some last minute stuff to get. I got Kaylee some underwear, she pooped on the potty both times today! I was so proud of her so I got both kiddos some underwear for their stocking and I picked up more tape, oh yeah and I had to get the rest of our Christmas cards to mail out tomorrow. Nothing like the last minute...huh? So I picked up some Papa John's and the kids ate more pizza then I have ever seen them eat!

My sister and mom are both sick...so I am not sure we will be doing Christmas eve. And if we have to miss out on it, that is ok...because I don't want the kids being sick on Christmas. All of us are starting to get over our colds. But David is just now getting what I have. He says he feels so bad. And I keep telling him...that is what I told him several days ago how I felt and of course he doesn't remember.

Tomorrow we have to get the video camera out and see if it works. I got it for David a couple Christmas' ago and he has never used it...but I really want to get the kids on film this year. So I am crossing my fingers. I don't have any kids tomorrow so I am pretty happy about that.

Dad brought the kids home around 9:30 yesterday morning. The kids have colds. Kaylee is sneezing and coughing and Skyler is coughing and so am I. But last night Kaylee actually went up to Santa. We got a picture...but my scanner is not working so I can't post it. Skyler sat on Santa's lap in school but wouldn't go with us to see him last night. I just want a pic of them together...but oh well. We went to my Aunts and had dinner and then the kids opened presents. Kaylee was so excited each time that her whole little body was shaking! Skyler was excited as well. He almost took my face off when he came over to show me his new Mack truck from cars that he got. And Kaylee got a baby doll from Aunt Melody and Uncle Bob and kept saying over and over "I love it". It was so cute. They had a good time.

Today we went to my grandma's house like we do every Sunday. They were making homemade vegetable soup (my favorite) and we stayed and each one of us ate a bowl. It was really good. I still have to send out 9 Christmas cards. I am going tomorrow to pick them up from Walmart photo lab and then getting them out in the mail. I am NEVER this late. But money is a big factor this year too. I can't believe that Christmas is only 4 DAYS away! Man this year has just flown by!

So I decided that I needed to get Skyler and Kaylee's presents wrapped from each other. So the other was not in the room while the other helped. Skyler was first and I told him NOT to tell her what it was it was suppose to be a suprise on Christmas. So this he understood. So when Kaylee came in the room he told her it was a " turd ". LOL. Kids I tell you. Then it was Kaylee's turn to wrap Skyler's, we get it wrapped he comes in the room and he asked her what is it? And of course Kaylee says it's "wall-e"! Great! So much for wrapping with me anymore.

We have a Chirstmas dinner to go to on Saturday at my Aunt Ruthann's and Uncle Larry's. We usually have dinner and then the kids open their presents. So it should be fun. It is always nice to get together with relatives that you don't see to often. Then Christmas eve we are going to Kelley and Joe's and they are cooking, and we will be exchanging presents. Taylor already got hers from us. She liked it a lot. It was Littlest Pet Shop Tail Waggin Fitness Club. Then of course Christmas is at moms. And I am looking forward to that. The food and the company. I hope Angela makes it in.

But next week. The kids and I are going to do a Gingerbread house and bake cookies and decorate them. Skyler's last day of school for two weeks is tomorrow. And he is so excited. And I have to say that I will be glad...because everytime he goes to school he is sooo tired and crabby when he gets home. When he is at home and doesn't have school, he takes a nap. They are going to have a little play and his line in it is "I see Joseph gently leading me." Then they all had to buy a book and they will exchange that. I also saw something that they did there that I am going to do with the kids next week. They took pictures of their face with Santa hats and then one of their full body and then cut those out and put them on either a reindeer or Christmas tree, so you have their head really huge and their body small. It was really cute.

It has been really cold here. Sunday it rained and got belowing freezing, then Monday it snowed and today it is suppose to do some freezing rain. But tomorrow and Saturday it is suppose to be in the 40's and I am glad. At least it will start melting. It was today.

One of the little girls that come here, her brother was in a bad accident this weekend and most of the week I didn't have anyone. Today I had both Kinlea and Kailynn. My prayers are with their families for her brother to get better.

Just a weird weekend. It was very quiet and then loud at the same time. Friday night the kids spent the night with grandma and pawpaw. So I had the whole house to myself. David had to work, and it was just nice. Saturday the kids and I stayed in and didn't do a thing. It was just too cold. Today I woke up and it was nice outside. We didn't even need a coat. Then this afternoon it started to cool off. We went to Kelley and Joe's for dinner and ate fish, which was really good. But it started to sleet and is still going at it. I stayed up late last night watching the Hallmark channel. I like their movies around Christmas time. I think next week the kids and I are going to make cookies for Christmas.

Yep Christmas is coming quick! And thankfully all the shopping is done. I am sending out half of the Christmas cards this weekend and the other half next week. They are actually going to be sent like post cards.

Well Monday I went to my doctors and got a pneumonia shot and a flu shot. I guess Pneumonia can be deadly when someone gets their spleen taken out. But my appointment with my surgeon to set up a date for surgery isn't until Jan 14th! Another month! This is just crazy! I am just ready for it all to be over with more than anything! But at least I won't be hurting on Christmas!

Christmas eve we are going to be having at my sister's. We don't usually have Christmas eve dinner or exchange presents if she doesn't have Taylor on it...but I think she is excited this year. She has met a really great guy and he is good to her as well as Taylor.

I can't believe that tomorrow is Monday already! The weekends go by too fast. So Friday I finished up Christmas shopping. But did forget one thing. I will get it this weekend. Just a gift card. I got our Christmas card made and will be sending some out the beginning of this week and then next week. I have to go get some envelopes for them. How do you think it turned out?

We still haven't taken the kids to see Santa yet..we are tomorrow. I have to go get my shots so we are taking them after and yep I will be bringing my camera...so I will have pictures if Kaylee cooperates.

David and I normally don't get each other anything for Christmas but if we were this year I would have every single season of this show on my list:

I LOVE this show! I started watching them on soapnet this summer from the beginning. And I am hooked. I am close to the end of season 3 and should in a couple weeks be on Season 4. I think James Lafferty being on the show helps too! :)

That is how I felt all day today. I can not wait till tomorrow. One it's payday and two I get to finish up Christmas shopping! Whoo-hoo! Then I don't have to fight the crowds anymore. I also recd coupons from JCPenney today for $10 off a $10 purchase or more, then we went to see my grandma and she gave me another one too. So I will put those to use when I go to Columbia on Monday for my vaccinations. Kaylee is starting to do better on the potty she has been going twice a day now. So hopefully in a month or two she will be going full time. It is exactly 3 weeks till Christmas!

I will be having surgery to have my spleen removed. I got the call from my regular doctor today that I will be having the surgery and I have to go in Monday and have some vaccinations done before I have the surgery. I didn't ask then...but later got on the internet and found out that I have to have the vaccinations b/c the spleen fights off infections and once it's removed it hard to fight them off. These will help prevent any infection that I may pick up right after surgery. But from there I am sure I will find out what doctor I will meet with to do my surgery and then go see that doctor and schedule the surgery. At least now I can breathe! I feel like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders.

I do have to say that I am so excited about Christmas this year! Kaylee is at the age this year that she is getting really excited and so is Skyler. I did tell them this year that they will get a present from daddy and I and then one from each other. Skyler "accidently" stumbled upon his Wall-E. Well not really accidently...but he saw it b/c he was snoping when he wasn't suppose to! I don't think I ever saw a kid come down the stairs so fast and so excited. But he got in trouble since he opened up the closet and tore open the bag. All Kaylee keeps saying she wants is a dollhouse.

Well today I had to go grocery shopping, so I left the kids with mom. I got the groceries and made a few other stops. It always amazes me how crowded everywhere is right after Thanksgiving. I did manage to get some stocking stuffers, wrapping paper, bows, tags and tape. Tomorrow we are going to Columbia. We are taking the kids to see Santa Claus and they are sooooo excited! Now the real question is will Kaylee get up on his lap? I really hope so...but I do have my doubts. Last year the first time the kids saw him she went right up and sat on his lap. But the 2nd time we went back she was crying and didn't dare get up there. So we will see. I am hoping by me telling them that they have to sit on his lap and tell them what they want, that they will.

Well to start off Thanksgiving was so nice! It was very relaxing and just nice for a change. Normally Thanksgiving is very stressful for some reason. Mom cooked the usual turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green bean caserole, deviled eggs, noodles, dressing and made banana cream pie, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Grandma brought pea salad, fruit salad, some kind of pie and key lime desert. We were short several people...but mom, dad, grandma and grandpa, Suzanne, Jordan, David, Skyler, Kaylee and I were all there. Ashtyn got sick so her dad stayed at home with her, Tootsie and Bill went to his brothers and then Kelley didn't show up till late. The kids and I stayed at mom and dads so I could get up at 3 and go hit the sales.

I didn't sleep to well last night...but when the alarm went off...I got up. My first stop was Kohl's. I was thinking that since it was Kohl's there wouldn't be many people...man was I wrong! You almost needed a ticket to park. I was so far back in line I was thinking I am not going to get Kailynn's My Little Pony toy...but to my suprise in I went and 5 mins later out I was with the toy. My next stop was Toys R Us who opened at 5. I waited in line, but I wasn't too far back in line, for 30 mins in I went and I was out in 5 minutes with Skyler's Lightning Storm. So my next venture was to go to Wal-Mart...ha! I could hardly find anywhere to park. Then I went inside to get the Crayola Glow Station for $15...but they were completely gone. But I have NEVER EVER seen anything like this! And yes, people are CRAZY in the way that they act. In seeing the line when I first entered, I looked over and saw that there were people already in the check outs with buggy's FULL and when I mean FULL...I mean over flowing. It was only 5:10 at this point. So I got in my car parked a mile away from the store and headed to Target and got in line to wait an additional 30 minutes in the cold. I really like how Target respects the people that have been waiting in line. They park buggy's in front of the door and have security out front and let the ones know that they will have to wait as others have been waiting. I got in and got Skyler's Leapster games then got Kaylee's Baby Alive doll and did get the Glow Station there...for about $10 more. But I do have to say a little evil came out. I was trying to get out of the toy section, and let me describe it. They have the main isles down the stores, well Target puts huge bins of toys on one side of the main isle and then they expect you to get up and down in carts. I was trying to go between two carts, which wasn't much space and this woman kept pushing me in the back and I had enough. I turned around and not in so much nice manner said that if she didn't stop pushing me she was going to wind up on the floor. I got in and out of Target in 20 minutes, and was at moms to pick up the kids by 6:40. This was an experience I will never forget. Next year I will bring David if I need reinforcements.

I did hear today unfortunely that a Wal-Mart worker was trampled to death. This is so sad. They had let a few customers into the store and told the others that they weren't going to let any more in for a little bit, the customers got ticked and said that they had been waiting in line for, not quiet sure how long, and that they were coming in. From what I understand the guy may have been trying to lock the doors and the customers stormed in taking down the doors and bending the frame on the door way and killed him in all of this. A woman who was 8 months pregnant was hurt as well as several others. What is wrong with people? Seriously over electronics or specials is it really worth taking an innocent persons life, who is only doing his job that he is told to do? They did say that the authorities are investigating it and try to identify people and if they do they may face criminal charges...which they should. The governement needs to try to find a way to fix this economy and create new jobs instead of sending them over seas. People are going nuts trying to get a bargain, that they don't care who gets hurt. This scares me. I guess another depression is creeping up on us slowly...but soon.

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is here already. From tomorrow it's only 4 weeks till Christmas! Just so hard to believe. It really does seem like this year just started. There is a lot that I am thankful for. Mostly my family and friends. Without them...life just wouldn't be worth it! I am so thankful for my kiddos! They are so funny sometimes, and the things they come up with. I hope each and everyone of you have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Today wasn't too bad weather wise. It was 46 and nice for a change. Kaylee and I went to Columbia today. Target had just put her Fancy Nancy doll on sale that I got Friday so I went back to get the difference. And also they had another thing that I wanted to get for her for Christmas...but she doesn't know it was for her. Then we headed over to Toysrus and found another piece to her dollhouse that we have been looking for. We also headed over to Kohls to get a few things. We found something else for Kinlea...so we took the other gift for her back and got these. They are too cute!

Skyler was with Grandma Susie this morning...so we went over to my grandma's house to pick him up. She gave me money to get him something from her for Christmas as well as Kaylee. So I think I am going to get the Lightning Storm and a tinkerbell doll and let her give those to them for Christmas. I think I was bah-humbug about Christmas...but am now starting to get into the spirit. I like shopping if not a lot of people are around. I think the day after Thanksgiving that morning...it will be fine. I remember going a couple of years ago and getting in and getting out. I think once 6-7 hits that is when a lot more people will be out. I figured the last gift that Kaylee is going to get so that is a plus! By the end of the first weekend in December it should all be done! The only thing that I don't like is wrapping the gifts!

This week is going to be out of wack for me. It's a short week...but not really.

It's beginning to feel like winter

Man is it ever cold! And it got cold quick! I was looking at the black friday ads online and I saw somethings that I want to get...but don't know if I will be able to! I know that I don't have Kinlea on Friday...but not sure about Kailynn or the other two boys. However, if I do David gets off at 6 in the morning...so he should be home to watch Kailynn and if I make it to Columbia and back I will be back by the time the boys get here. I will just have to let everyone know. At Toys R Us, who open at 5 am, they have the Lightning Storm that Skyler wants for $15! That saves me $15. Then Target doesn't open until 6 am but they have leapster games on sale for $15 each. This is a huge savings of $10/game! So I will be going to get that stuff for sure! I think I will ask mom and dad to keep the kids Thursday evening. Also Wal-Mart has a Crayola Glow Station for $15 and it saves $10. Skyler saw that and said that he wanted it. But I figure both kiddos can use it/share it!

I finally found Kaylee's Fancy Nancy doll. So I am very happy about that! Today we stayed in and I took some more pics of the kids. I hurt my wrist and it is swollen. I am not sure what I did to it. Kaylee got a new hat, it is a kitty cat hat and it's too cute as you can see in the pics! She wears it non-stop. I was going to get a penguin one for Skyler, but they didn't have his size.

Just another day. Today was kind of blah! Skyler says now that he doesn't want the big dinosaur...but instead he wants the big Wall-E that you can control. Well I have been reading reviews on it and it's not too good. The movie comes out tomorrow and he is super excited about it. We are going to get it for him. But anywho I have looked online at the other Wall-E robots they have and they tend to have a lot better reviews, and they don't cost too much. So Skyler will be getting the Handy Manny truck, the screaming Banshee, Cars Mega Blocks, Lightning Storm McQueen, and some kind of Wall-E. But I have coupons so I will be doing smart shopping and saving as much as possible!

I have found the cutest doll for Kaylee, instead of Tinkerbell, it's called Fancy Nancy! The doll has curly hair like Kaylee and is just the cutest thing! So she will be getting her doll house...and to see the dollhouse in person is just truly amazing, and some of the people that go with it, a Fancy Nancy doll and something else. Stockings I am stumped with! I am putting Tinkerbell underware in Kaylee's to entice her to go on the potty more often! And Skyler's getting some more underwear. They are getting a few pieces of candy but I am going to get some little toy to go in their stockings and don't know what yet!?!? Santa may or may not leave slippers for the kids, may or may not leave blanket and pillow combos or possibly coloring books and colors. Still not sure yet! Of course you ask David his opinion and guess what...he doesn't have one.

I think the hardest person to shop for his my dad. He has everything he needs/wants. And if there is something that he wants he just goes and gets it. Last year he told me to get him jeans. But I want to get him something more meaningful. I asked David what we where getting for his parents and he doesn't know.

But let me tell you about Skyler...this kiddo just blows me away! We were sitting down doing "homework" and he had one that he had to do that had shapes of a diamond, star, oval and heart. Then it had the words written out and he was suppose to connect lines from the word to the matching shape. So I thought let me ask him what this word says...I pointed at diamond and asked (thinking he doesn't know) and to my suprise he said "diamond" and he did that with every word. And I asked him today what the words were and he said the same thing. He is recognizing what the numbers and letters look like. He is doing really well. And sissy is amazing as well. She is learning so much from him!

I for one have realized why I get my shopping done BEFORE Thanksgiving. Today was such an awesome answer that I was wondering about a few days ago. I have always gotten my shopping done before thanksgiving and asked myself why...why not wait...well I found out. It is 6 weeks from Chistmas and a little less than two weeks away from Thanksgiving...I was in the mall today and I have never felt so much like a sardine in my life! And it's only going to get worse. So I asked my dad today what he wanted for Christmas and he said he wasn't sure...I gave him a deadline (or I will let Skyler pick out something for him) of 11/21/08. I completed the tasks of getting Trey's, Kailynn's and Kinlea's done today as well as mom's. Woo-hoo! Only a few more for Skyler and Kaylee, Dad and then the two picks from my moms side of the family. Now don't get me wrong I love the holiday's but I hate how packed and how crazy people act in the stores! I will be having our Christmas card done this year. I am not going to get the kids pictures taken, but have someone make me a Christmas card from the pictures that I take. And the wonderful thing is I know exactly what I am looking for...just to find someone to do it.

Oh could those letters leave such a nice feeling. Today wasn't too bad. We did the usual. Kids here till about 3:45 and then I went grocery shopping. I went to get Kaylee some diapers and of course they were out of her size all together! Wal-Mart is famous for this! Hopefully they will have some tomorrow. I didn't get to do all that I had to do b/c David went with me and of course, he is always in a hurry! I was going to look for Kinlea's and Kailynn's Christmas gifts that the kids are going to get for them...but no such luck with my husband! Then we need to look for Trey's, and my dad's gift.

You know I never knew how funny it was and how tired a parent can get of a kid saying "I want that for Christmas". Skyler and Kaylee say that at what they like on tv, see in a magazine or see in the store. Well Skyler and I made his Christmas list for Santa today and he had that he wanted:

Handy Manny Truck
Screaming Banshee
Lightning Storm McQueen
Spike the Ultra Dinosaur
and Disney Car Mega Blocks

So not too bad. The first two I have gotten for him, and Toys R Us has the Lightning Storm on sale for $20.99 and I have a $10 off coupon. So I will be getting that tomorrow. And I know what blocks it is that he wants for Christmas which are not too bad in price. But that Dinosaur is $129!! That is a little out of our price range. He really likes it...but I do have a pretty awesome coupon to use at toys r us that I haven't used yet...so we will see. And I do keep reminding the kids that Santa can't get everything their little hearts desire, and to be happy with what he does bring them. Cause I sure know that Santa is not rich this year!!

Kaylee and I have made her list...and we got the Caring Corners Dollhouse at just an awesome price and have gotten some accessories to go with it. My sister is picking up a couple for her for Christmas as well. There are just two more that I need to get and they are not too much. And when I ask her what she wants I mostly hear: TINKERBELL! Everywhere we go and she sees Tinkerbell I think she wakes up the whole neighborhood. But she keeps tell me that Santa is going to bring her a baby. She loves the Baby Alive doll...but Santa can not afford another $60!!!

They came and drew my blood yesterday. And I got a call from the social worker at the dr office and she said that the Mayo clinic had it and was analyzing it today. So that is very good news. It made it there in one piece and this will be sucessful! Woo-Hoo!! I am guessing that either Monday or Tuesday I will get the final verdict of wether or not I will have to have my spleen taken out. I am sure that it will be yeah...since I am losing so much blood.

Such a HORRIBLE Day!

First let me start by saying how the day started. I didn't get up till 6:30. My alarm was set for 6 and I am thinking David turned it off. So Kailynn normally gets here at 6:30 and luckily I had just came down the stairs when she got here. I should have known by this how the day was going to go.

Skyler from the time that he got up has been so defiant! It is getting worse day by day, and I am at the point that I don't know what to do anymore. I have felt like pulling out my hair all day. I had him down for a nap and of course David got up and everytime David gets up Skyler is so bad! So naturally he didn't take a nap. I am so thankful that he has preschool tomorrow!

Then about 2 pm I get a call from my dr office, thinking that I will have an answer for sure. But quess what?!? They messed my blood up once again. My dr had no apologies that we needed to draw more blood, and that these things just happen. So I told him that I wasn't even going to worry about it anymore! I am tired of people messing up things and then having no apologies. So I hung up on the dr, well what made me hang up is David. The dr wanted to talk to him and David said that he was to busy...so I just hung up. I was so mad at David that he couldn't even take a phone call and show that he cared.

Then a lady from the dr office called back, one of their social workers, and let me tell you she was so sincere! If it hadn't had been for her I wouldn't of called back to the dr office. She apologized for what was happening. And she has gotten me to agree to take the blood again and she will be the contact person on my blood all the way through the process. She is going to be the one calling me to let me know either way. I told her that I did not want the dr calling back because I felt like I was just another paycheck to him. It's a shame that I feel that way with the medical field...but it's just a fact anymore. I feel like all they see is dollar signs when someone calls to make an appointment and see more dollar signs when someone walks through the door. She even apologized for the way my dr acted. She said that she had asked him if anyone apologized to me, and his response to her "these things just happen", so naturally that is a big fat no. She described how I was feeling...like a guinea pig! But she was so sweet and I told her that if it hadn't been for the caring sound in her voice I would not have returned her phone call. She gives me hope that their are some people with compassion in the medical field, and your compassion for your patients and their well being should be what drives you...not the money.

New Face Lift!

Ashley at SMG made me such a fab new blog! They are just awesome over there! They offer blogs and myspaces for free as well as siggies. I think that I have decided that I am glad that I am taking care of kids. Why you ask, well let me tell ya:

I get to wake up in my bed and get up and not have to go outside
No starting the car anymore
I don't have to get dressed up for work
I don't have to get the kids up, dressed and out the door by any certain time
I can lounge most of the day

Well those are my reasons anyways! Grandma Mary got the kids a cooking set for Christmas a real one. It is from Bed, Bath and Beyond and it comes with an apron, baking sheet, baking pan, rolling pin, wooden spoon, and cookie cutters. It is miniture sized. So I let the kids play with it today and they had a ball. Kaylee let me take pictures of her with it...but Skyler let me get a couple regular pics. I can't believe that Christmas is only 6 weeks and 3 days away.

We have to buy a new tree this year. Ours last year had it. So I am going to get a cheap one from Wal-Mart this year and then next year I am going to invest in a tree. I am only going to decorate our outside door for Christmas this year. It is way to cold to hang lights and stuff. So I will have pre-lit garland around the door.

Still no word on my test results. Hopefully I will hear something in the next couple of days. They ran the blood tests just to confirm that I will have to have my spleen out. Thanksgiving week will be a short one for me...so I am hoping that they do it then.

A quiet Sunday...

At least that is the way it feels to me. Mary and Richard left at 8:30 this am, and after they left it was just an weird silence. We had a good time and hated to see them leave. We really did enjoy ourselves. They got in Thursday and I still had kids here. They all left at 3:45 and I fixed shrimp and chicken alfredo. On Friday we went to Columbia and ate at TGIFridays. It was so good. I also did more Christmas shopping. The kids went on the carousel at the mall grandma and grandpa rode with them. We had Jambalaya for supper and my mom made pecan pie! And it was all very good. The kids really had a good time with grandma and grandpa and Skyler said some of the funniest things! Mary asked Skyler on Thursday evening if he had a mirror in his room (and he doesn't) he replied by saying "Yes grandma", he then took her in his room and pointed to his window. It was so funny. Then, yes my mother in law talks a bit, Skyler came down stairs yesterday morning and said "I am tired of grandma talking, tired of it!" both Richard and I looked at each other and started laughing. Kaylee for some reason has to get use to Richard for a couple of days. Well Friday after they got off the merry go round she was holding his hand walking in the mall. All of a sudden she asked "where's pawpaw at?" and I smiled cause I knew she didn't realize she was holding his hand. I replied "Your holding his hand sissy" she then stopped in her tracks looked up at Richard, her eyes got big and came running beside me. It was too funny. She just didn't realize that she had a hold of his hand. I wish that I could say that I took more pictures, but I didn't. Mary took a ton. But I did get a few.

Well Richard and Mary will be here tomorrow and of course the house is not totally cleaned. David always waits till the last minute. My tasks are done except putting the sheets that are washing on the bed. I hope the visit goes nicely. I have a bad cold which I can thank to this weather, Kaylee has it as well. And poor little Kinlea has it and so does Kailynn.

Well I got a call from my dr yesterday and the lab that my blood went to didn't freeze it, so Friday I have to go and get more blood drawn. I don't think anymore blood can come out of me! I had 5 tubes that that lab wasted and now 5 more have to come out.

Yesterday was I think the worst day ever! And I am not just saying that. It's one of those days when you finally realize either something is going to have to give, or your world is going to break apart. And now I can say with a sigh of relief it's going to get better from here.

Well Sunday the season finale of Army Wives was on. I must say that I am bummed out! It is by far my favorite show...but I didn't like the ending.

Well that is to say the least! First let me start with yesterday. And extra hour of sleep cut short by Kaylee. On the weekends she will wake up at 7:30, well yesterday she was up at 6:45 (which old time is 7:45). But Aunt Kelley took the kids with her and she had them from about 11 to 4:30 and it was so quiet around her, oh man it was nice. But I had to clean up. The in-laws are coming up this Thursday so that means extra cleaning. I am taking care of everything except the laundry room and our bedroom. I told David that is his areas to attend to. He had three days off last week and didn't do a thing, and I told him that I was not doing it all this time around. But yesterday was relaxing...that is until the kids came back and as soon as they are back, you know it! LOL

Also I was excited to find Kaylee's doll house that I wanted to get her. ToysRUs has been sold out of it for awhile. And by luck they only had ONE on the shelf and I snatched it up today! The dollhouse was originally $80, but on sale for $70 and then I had a 20% off coupon so I got it for $56! A super deal if I do say so! Then I got the free gift set of the parents to go with it and on top of that I got her two sets to go with it and since I spent $75 I got a free $10 gift card! Whoo-hoo! But I was really starting to worry that I wasn't going to find it. Every where has been sold out of it for awhile now.

So now for even bigger news! They figured out why I am losing blood. I have spherocytosis. And I was born with it. It is inheritated. So my parents and sister need to go get checked out. But on the down side of this...my spleen is going to be removed. So this means surgery for me once again! I am really starting to hate hospitals. I am not sure when I will have the surgery but I would say the next month to month and a half. So Christmas may not be too exciting around here. They did another test that will confirm that I do have this and then I will go see another doctor that will remove my spleen.

The kids had a good time yesterday. Kelley and Taylor went Trick or Treating with us for a bit. We went down to grandma Suzie's first. She loaded them up with candy and then we went to great grandma Gerry's. She kept putting candy in their baskets! I didn't think she was ever going to stop. And after that we hit up the houses. We had to dump the kids candy because it was getting too heavy for them and then went back for more! Skyler had the Trick or Treating part down pat....but Kaylee would not say it for the life of her. And then on top of that they were wanting to get into the people's candy bowls. I had to tell them several times to get out of them. But there seems to be fewer and fewer houses that give out candy each year. I can remember when I was little every house would be lit up. But after all that the kids baskets were filled to the brim. So we did good. And on top of that we were only out for about an hour and a half.

So there is going to be two posts tonight...got to catch up! Yesterday with all the kids I made cupcakes. Needless to say it was quite interesting! Skyler wanted to do the eggs and I told him no. I didn't want egg shells in the mix. But they each got to put some of the water and vegetable oil into the mix along with the candies that went into it. And then I put the frosting on top of the cupcakes and had them spread it on it...probably wasn't my brightest idea! And then the put the sprinkles on top of them. They all were very proud of themselves. Skyler had fun at preschool and did well at the nursing home. He came home with quite a bit of candy from school, and then Kailynn and Kinlea brought candy as well here. Up above are pictures of everyone before we started, Skyler and Kaylee helping stirring the mix and then the finished product of what we made! My dad came by yesterday and was such a life saver and picked up my new license plates for me! And he had to laugh when he came back...all the kids were on the chairs with their eyes wide open watching everything. We had a good time yesterday.

I doubt that I will be on here tomorrow so for everyone I want to wish you a:

I can't believe that October is over! Today I made Rice Krispy Treats with Skyler, Kaylee and Kailynn. They had fun. I let Kaylee open the butter and put it into the pan and then I had each kid put a cup of marshmellows into the pan. We watched it "smelt" as Kaylee said. But I had to remind them at least 100 times to keep their hands away from the stove. I had chairs pulled up close so they could help and watch. It was so funny....once they got to taste their masterpiece they were like "yummmmmm". We also made witch hats that they can wear. It was really cute.

Tomorrow we are making cupcakes and decorating pumpkins. Skyler has his halloween party tomorrow at preschool. They are going to a nursing home to dance and sing for the elderly...and daddy is going with him (in case he is nervous), they are going to dance and sing in their costumes. Then they will go back to school and pass out treats to each other. I can just tell tomorrow is going to be a SUGAR HIGH kinda day! In the process of all this I have to get my new license plate for my car. My car is due for renewal this month and yes I always wait till the last day for this. I am excited to take the kids out tomorrow. It was so funny I asked Kaylee in the car last night after we left Wal-Mart what she is suppose to say and she said "trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't I don't care I pull your underwear down". I was laughing. I taught that to Skyler about 2 months ago and he has been singing it lately. But I told her to just say Trick or Treat.

But I hope all have a safe and Happy Halloween! And I will be back this weekend to post pictures! But in the mean time I just love that picture at top, has to be one of my favorites of them!

It is so hard to believe that Halloween is only three days away. I hear more and more talk from the kids about going trick or treating. I am not looking forward to being out in the cold.

Not much to report today. I did get another cute picture of the kids. I wish they could be like this all the time...but they know how to push each others buttons. And I begin to wonder....when does it stop! LOL

You can really tell that fall is here! It is so cold in the mornings and the afternoons haven't been too much better. Tonight it is even suppose to get below freezing! Brrr! I am not ready for this. Just the 1st week of October it was so nice and warm and the 2nd wasn't too bad and then the third just got cold and on from there.

Yesterday mom, Kaylee and I went down to the lake and got some pretty good deals. I didn't even spend all the money I took. Which I am very proud of! But they still need a few things. I love Osh Kosh this year (well I love the shirts that look like they have a tee with a long sleeve shirt underneath) and they have a ton of those shirts...well I got 6 shirts like that for $6.99 a piece and they are so cute! But I got some great deals down there.

Today I had my ultrasound of my spleen, liver, and several other places. They also took blood and did a fragility test. I find out the results next Monday. It was weird having an ultrasound without having a baby in your tummy! LOL!

Tonight the kids have been overly active and are getting ready to head to bed soon. I got some cute shots of the kids and one really cute shot together as you can see above (and I even got in one).

It is def. getting colder and colder! I am so ready for the weekend!

Kelley and I and probably Kaylee will be heading to the lake this weekend to do some shopping.

I wish there was an outlet like the lakes closer to us.

I am looking forward to Halloween more and more! The kids are really getting excited.

We are going to make cupcakes next Friday and it should be fun. I had Skyler, Kaylee and Kailynn filling the buckets with me today for candy for them next Friday...and it was pretty fun. Although they wanted it now...but I told them they had to wait.

Oh the excitement for the day! Kaylee normally goes in her room to do number 2, and so she went in there and said she was going to (can't for the life get her to do it on the potty). So 5 mins went by and I was like let me go check on her...

And what to my wondering eyes did appear...but a little girl and her legs, hands and arms covered in number 2!!! So needless to say I spent 20 minutes cleaning up her. She had taken off her pants and also got it on her socks. She has not done this in about 6 months or so.

But on a lighter note I got some cute pictures of the kids tonight. I was taking these around 5 and it's getting dark here quicker and quicker...not liking that.

So I have offically decided that Kaylee is into Tinkerbell majorly. She gets so excited when she sees Tinkerbell or anything Tinkerbell. We went to get some more shirts for Skyler last night and take a few things back that didn't fit, and she had to have Tinkerbell pajama's! But I have to say that I am glad that she is into something now. Skyler still loves cars...but he is getting into Handy Manny. We had to buy Handy Manny shoes and a shirt.

Well it is offically fall now. The weather is dipping down into the low 40's at night and then only getting into, well if it makes it there, the lower 60's. Next week the highs are only suppose to be in the 40's! Yikes! So this weekend I will be buying Kaylee some pants to go under her costume and a long sleeve shirt to go under it as well. Skyler already has those for his.

Mary and Richard will be making it up here two weeks from tomorrow. The kids are excited. It will be a nice visit. I am not watching kids that Friday...and David is going to be off work that Thursday-Saturday.

So we took the kids to Bob and Melody's today and then went to watch the Saints game. I told David after the first quarter I was done watching the Saints! Talk about frustration. The play calling was just horrible. So I mostly watched the Rams beat the Cowboys butt!!! I am happy for the Rams winning two in a row and winning over good teams. We left the bar early and went to Kohls and got some awesome deals on clothes. We were in Columbia yesterday...but the deals there were not good. I got Kaylee three pairs of jeans, four shirts, Skyler two pairs of jeans and two shirts and Kaylee two dolls for Christmas all that for $100!! I just couldn't believe it, and on top of that I got $20 in Kohls cash to spend later and I just have to spend $20 and I get it free! I do have to take back a pair of jeans and a shirt for Kaylee. Kaylee is wearing 3T in jeans, and the sad thing that is what Skyler wears in jeans. We got Skyler some Handy Manny tennis shoes and a shirt from Sears but the shirt is too dang big.

Kelley picked Skyler up from Bob and Melody's today to go see a movie...well I guess they only sat through half and that is all he could take. They went to see Beverly Hills dog movie, and I told her that he wouldn't sit through it. Bob and Melody took Kaylee to the park and she had a good time. When we went to pick her up she went running past David and gave me 4 huge hugs in a row and said that she was ready to go home. She is such a momma's girl!

Tomorrow the kids will be back but it's just two of them. Monday comes so soon!

So I was thinking today that Christmas is coming up soon...but I didn't realize how soon! It's in 9 1/2 weeks!!!! Wow! That is about all I can say and I haven't done any shopping yet. But I know what Kaylee is getting. She is getting Caring Corners Dollhouse by Learning Curve. It is the cutest thing. Here is the pic of the front and back( it has 6 rooms front and back...12 rooms in all):

This dollhouse talks to you and teaches you also (the house also comes with a baby, a girl doll and dog). The rooms have some of the furniture and stuff built into it and then there are only three rooms that come with dolls that you have to buy for it. Then you just buy the dolls. Rooms are the most at $15 a piece and dolls are most at $7 a piece. Here are some of the dolls to it:

These have to be the cutest looking dolls and dollhouse that I have ever seen. But I am waiting till toys r us sends out the 20% off coupons that I normally get around Christmas time. Then I will be getting some of it. I am not getting all the stuff to it just some. She has seen it several times at Toys R Us and just loves it. Her face just lights up when the house talks. She has also seen the Tinkerbell couch that they have there and wants it everytime we see it. She will probably get a tinkerbell doll too, she is just in LOVE with Tinkerbell.

As for Skyler I know that he wants the Screaming Banshee that Disney Pixar has out now, and I found some new cars that they just came out with. And he likes his Handy Manny doll that he got for his Birthday so he might get the truck that goes along with it:

But Friday dad came and picked up Kaylee and she wanted a bag packed b/c she *was* going to spend the night and then he picked Skyler up from preschool. Well David and I went to the casino and ate at the buffet. It was good. Then about 9:05, I got a call to come pick up some little girl b/c she was crying in the background that she wanted to go home. So we picked her up. Today we went to Columbia to finish grocery shopping that we didn't get done since we had to go pick her up last night, well we went to Wal-Mart and had an oil change. They said that it was going to be about an hour. So we ate at McDonalds in there and then got the groceries and guess what? The car was still not done. And it had been 1 hour 50 minutes, then about 40 minutes later it was done. I just hate going to Wal-Mart for oil changes...but David insists on it since we have the free tire balance and rotation.

Tomorrow we are going to go watch the Saints game at B-12 and Kaylee is going to my uncle Bob's and Skyler is going to watch Igor with Kelley and Taylor.

Halloween Costumes

So I took pictures of the kids in their halloween costumes last night and they are below. I really hope that halloween is not too cold this year! Kaylee's tights are pretty warm..but I still need to find a pink long sleeve top for her to wear under just in case. Skyler will also have his face painted.

Not too much happened today...just really quiet. All the kids were gone by 4 this afternoon and it's just peaceful. Skyler and sissy really play well when they are by themselves. But sissy is in here in the dining room with me on a ride-on, and Skyler is on the couch taking a nap. He refused to this afternoon...so I think he just gave up! But the good thing is he will still sleep tonight and go to bed by 9 pm.

David is off Friday, Saturday and Sunday...so I have informed him that I am sleeping in this weekend for once since I don't have any kids Saturday. He is not too keen on the idea but I figured it's only fair since he gets to all the time. Mom and dad are going to pick up Skyler from school tomorrow and then come and get Kaylee and I can't wait. David and I are going to go eat the buffet at Isle of Capri here tomorrow, it has crab legs and fried shirmp. I am really looking forward to the crab legs and at 4 pm there will be NO line! So it will be a nice break from the kids. I am almost tempted to leave Kaylee at moms...but I know mom will be calling b/c she won't stay. Skyler will, shoot he would live there if he could.
